I bought a treadmill and i immediately had problems out of box. Contacted Canadian tire and they gave me the cold shoulder. They told me to call the 1800 since any services are not their problem. Box is open they will not refund nor exchange. Now im stuck with a brand new broken treadmill with no help from the dealer!

Depending on the province, you should be able to use the Consumer Protection Action to get a refund. Check out the sources on this tread: "Repair Only Warranty" - No Refund, No Exchange

There are also a few stories of customers getting refunds. You can do some searches on the site.

Basically:

- The easiest route is if you can get a "Returned Material Authorization" (RMA) from the manufacturer.
- Contact your province's Consumer Ministry for advice.
- Tell the store what the Ministry said, to see if they will help you out.
- Contact the main CT Customer Service number, and see if they will help you.
- Threated to sue the store if they don't follow the law.
- File a lawsuit (will cost your a bit - maybe $50 to $100).

From what I've heard, Crappy Tire will generally settle after you've filed the lawsuit.

You might actually have to go before a judge to get a court order for a refund.

Nice try fake poster. The manufacturer of treadmills offers in home service for any issues. They will authorize a new one if it's a defect. Fake posts are sooooo easy to spot.

If you are in Ontario, you should call the ministry to get the truth. It's not what faker advocates opinion is, and they will confirm it. Faker advocate, still trying to pass off opinion as truth.

Indeed, phone and confirm. Ministry of Consumer Protection at 1-877-665-0662. You'll have to wait until Tuesday though.

Don't be fooled by the phony reports by the Crappy People - try to guess what there agenda might be!

Obviously the customer doesn't want to deal with the manufacturer.

The don't want 'in home service" - they said they want "help from the dealer", but weren't offered a "refund nor exchange".

All they want Crappy Tire to stand behind what they sell.

Doesn't sound like Crappy's gonna step up to the plate without being forced into it, though.

Maybe there's nothing wrong with it

Maybe it's buyers remorse

Maybe they can't figure out how to put it together

Maybe the didn't follow the instructions properly
