The good new is, we've now found out that Crappy Tire is improperly disposing of batteries, presumably a lead-acid automotive battery.
The bad new is, they didn't manage to completely burn down their own store, after flaunting the rules for proper disposal of hazardous waste.

Makes me wonder if this store charged the consumer a "disposal fee", and then just pitched it into the dumpster anyway. Nice place to dump lead and sulfuric acid!
It seems the Abbotsford Crappy Tire wants to help reduce car thefts, by offering anti-car-theft tips to the public:

That reminds me of this story:

I wonder if the store is bothering to warn the public not to leave their car keys with the people at Crappy Tire?
An update on the town of Innisfil deciding not to let Crappy Tire take advantage of them:

Wow!
A $900,000 fine for a Crappy Tire's participation in a "price-fixing conspiracy"!
That's not gonna look so good on the next Quarterly Statement! Ouch!

It'd sure be entertaining if the City of Ottawa pulled the license of all Crappy Tire gas stations:
Ottawa councillors send warning letter to local gas stations | CTV Ottawa | CTV News
I wonder if they'd boycott the whole corporation, stores and all, or just the gas stations?
After all, their letter said, "the guilty companies, their subsidiaries and affiliates". Could include Mark's and the newly-purchased (but not yet fully Crappified) sporting goods stores, too!
Here's one owner who's trying a unique approach to the law: instead of just blithely ignoring the law, he's actually trying to use the system to change a proposed law he doesn't like:
Pesticide proposal irritates local retailer
But if the law goes into effect, how much do you wanna bet he'll just ignore it, the way so many of his fellow owners ignore the Sale of Goods Act, Consumer Protection Act, privacy legislation, price-fixing laws, and so on?
