Well, it was my GFs car actually.
She was short on cash, so I gave her 2 of my tires, then said to get 2 CT brad ones, since her daily commute was like 5 minutes each way, no biggie.

I asked them. 2 new ones in front, my 2 old ones in back. They put 2 new ones on the left, and 2 old ones on the right...I thought it was a practical joke or something, because I clearly told the "Manager" what i wanted, he listened to me, and even still, wouldn't it only be common sense? Well, I guess not. Ok, so they fixed it, and we were off.

About a day later, my wife's tire BLOWS OUT! We check it out, and it looks like there was a slash on the tire, but on the inside of the fender. Only assumption was that some tool was unpacking the shrink wrap around the tires with an exacto knife.

So, towed to CT, told them what happened, they tried to pawn it off "Someone slashed your tires, we can't fix that"
me, "Yeah, someone slashed the tires, YOU GUYS DID, who the heck would slash someone's tire on the Inside?" I mean, it's barely even reachable, and even if you could, it would take more force that most could achieve to make that deep of a slash while reaching around the tire.

Well, the "Manager" told me to go buy a new hubcap (the old one shattered), I said he was on crack to think that I would actually trust him to pay me back. and that I was tired of wasting my time. In fact, they should pay me for just having to waste more of my time for a mistake that THEY made. Needless to say they got the hubcap, changed the tire, and that was that.

So, a little argument paid off, although, I don't think that I should have even had to argue it!

I had tire problems with Canadian Tire too. I noticed that one of the CT tires I bought had a bulge in it and so, after work, I drove to the store I bought it from. I was sure to stay off the highway in case it blew. I talked to the service clerk who said that they were too busy to fix it. I explained to him and then to a mechanic that it was too dangerous to drive on. He restated that they were too busy. I asked sarcastically if I should call the CAA and he replied "yes." I ended up getting my tire changed by CAA in the parking lot of the store that I bought the tire from. I submitted a complaint to CT and the manager "followed up" by having one of his staff leave a couple of messages on my phone while I was at work with the expecation that I chase after them. Since then I have never bought my tires from CT and have never returned to that store.
