I bought a treadmill and i immediately had problems out of box. Contacted Canadian tire and they gave me the cold shoulder. They told me to call the 1800 since any services are not their problem. Box is open they will not refund nor exchange. Now im stuck with a brand new broken treadmill with no help from the dealer!

Same deal with Simoniz products: https://www.canadiantiresucks.net/personal-stories/68-simoniz-scam.html

How to get a refund from Canadian Tire - moneyville.ca Blogs

Depending on the province, you should be able to use the Consumer Protection Action to get a refund. Check out the sources on this tread: https://www.canadiantiresucks.net/g...pair-only-warranty-no-refund-no-exchange.html

There are also a few stories of customers getting refunds. You can do some searches on the site.

Basically:

- The easiest route is if you can get a "Returned Material Authorization" (RMA) from the manufacturer.
- Contact your province's Consumer Ministry for advice.
- Tell the store what the Ministry said, to see if they will help you out.
- Contact the main CT Customer Service number, and see if they will help you.
- Threated to sue the store if they don't follow the law.
- File a lawsuit (will cost your a bit - maybe $50 to $100).

From what I've heard, Crappy Tire will generally settle after you've filed the lawsuit.

You might actually have to go before a judge to get a court order for a refund.

Good luck!

You might want to think twice before giving Crappy Tire your hard-earned money next time!

Nice try fake poster. The manufacturer of treadmills offers in home service for any issues. They will authorize a new one if it's a defect. Fake posts are sooooo easy to spot.

If you are in Ontario, you should call the ministry to get the truth. It's not what faker advocates opinion is, and they will confirm it. Faker advocate, still trying to pass off opinion as truth.

Indeed, phone and confirm. Ministry of Consumer Protection at 1-877-665-0662. You'll have to wait until Tuesday though.

Don't be fooled by the phony reports by the Crappy People - try to guess what there agenda might be!

In the meantime, check out the links provided.

Obviously the customer doesn't want to deal with the manufacturer.

The don't want 'in home service" - they said they want "help from the dealer", but weren't offered a "refund nor exchange".

All they want Crappy Tire to stand behind what they sell.

Doesn't sound like Crappy's gonna step up to the plate without being forced into it, though.

Maybe there's nothing wrong with it

Maybe it's buyers remorse

Maybe they can't figure out how to put it together

Maybe the didn't follow the instructions properly

You never know, only one side of a fake story from what I can tell. Does faker advocate have first hand knowledge of the truth? Nope....but he'll comment anyway. Such a loser. Must be looking for donations.

The Crappy People sure do have a lot of "maybes" to make it look like they suck less than they really do!

Maybe there's nothing wrong with it

Maybe it's buyers remorse

Maybe they can't figure out how to put it together

Maybe the didn't follow the instructions properly

But the customer wrote that the treadmill "had problems out of box" and that it is a "broken treadmill". There's no reason to think anything else. In fact, when the customer contacted the store, Crappy said "any services are not their problem". Did the store say, "it's buyer's remorse" or "you didn't put it together" or "you didn't follow instructions"? Nope.

Besides, if those are genuine issues, the Ministry or the judge can sort it out.

Best of luck to the customer who was ripped off!

Maybe there's nothing wrong with it

the customer said these's something wrong with it - that it was broken right out of the box

Maybe it's buyers remorse

well maybe remorse that they bought something from crappy tire

because they found out too late that crappy tire wont stand behind what they sell

like when crappy tire sold them something that was broken right out of the box

and now crappy tire wont stand behind it

cant blame them for regretting that

Maybe they can't figure out how to put it together

nope - wasn't an issue

the only issue was - it was broken right out of the box

Maybe the didn't follow the instructions properly

nope - again - that wasn't an issue either

the only issue was - it was broken right out of the box

You never know, only one side of a fake story from what I can tell.

nope - once more

no reason to think its a fake story

sounds a lot like all the other simoniz and treadmill stories

you know - that it was broken right out of the box

and crappy tire wouldnt stand behind it

a good lesson for all the consumer who might be naively spending their hard earned cash at crappy tire

also - be sure that check out their return policies on maor appliance

no refunds, no exchanges on those big ticket items either
