    Absolutely the worst store of any kind I have ever had the misfortune to enter.Running joke in Keswick is they only hire staff too stupid to get a job at Mcdonalds

    I just went to the Keswick crappy tire for an oil change (STUPID MOVE!!), driving home i could smell something and saw smoke, i pull over and pop the hood on my car and there is no filler cap on the engine it is sitting on the front by the radiator and oil sprayed all over the place, called them and they say "impossible because we took a video of your car being serviced and it clearly show's we put the cap back on" the service manager even hung up on me and said "this conversation is over" called customer service at head office and got the same attitude from them, asked to speak to a manager and the same attitude, we have a video so your wrong, can't believe the poor attitude to a customer from a big company like this they just don't give a s--t, by the way a lady stopped to see if i neede help when she saw me with the hood up and i told her what happened and she said she went there to have tires put on her vehicle and on the way home a wheel fell off! !DONT LET KESWICK CDN TIRE ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR CAR

    Just took our vehicle that we purchased to Canadian Tire for a Safety. There was not a dent or a scratch, came over to take a look and the rear bumper was smashed. Also, never safety at Canadian Tire, they always need new tires. There is not a thing wrong with the tires on the vehicle, just a great big money grab..

    Let's see....never bring your car for a safety at Canadian Tire because they always need new tires. Interesting that you brought it there anyway, knowing this info (false, of course). And not a scratch, but now the bumper was "smashed".
    Smashed? I'll go out on a limb and assume the denied causing any damage. Will you be suing?

    Agreed! So many complaints all at once - service in Keswick is going to hell in a handbasket.

    This is the worst store in Keswick. They are renovating right now to offer even less service. Heard everything from letting cars fall off the lifts and denying damage to running up charges in auto service for things that you didnt ask for. I recently went to the store to "exchange" one of their garbage angle grinders and was literally laughed at.

    They will fall by the way side. They will go under as soon as Princess Auto moves into town. The store manager Jason is a pompous, ignorant man who enjoys demeaning people.

    Absolutely TERRIBLE store. Brought vehicle in for an emission test, they advised they couldn't complete because of an exhaust leak. Okay, I can understand that. I waited for a repair estimate as suggested, came back with an $1193 repair bill. Well, fine, said I will look into it. Went to my vehicle, started it, and it NOW had a loud exhaust noise, it didn't when I brought it in. Took the vehicle to another garage. The owner reviewed the estimate. He clearly indicated several parts which were NOT defective and in good condition as otherwise indicated on the estimate. There was some work required. The gasket on the catalytic converter was worn and he did notice some minor damage on the muffler. Fair enough, although that 'damage' was not there before I brought the vehicle to CT. In the end, my total repair bill was $157 and I then took it to another garage for inspection/clean air - it passed with NO problems.
    I called CT head office in Toronto, they wouldn't even consider looking at the issue. I clearly conveyed to them that there was clear evidence of criminal fraud, but they said I had to resolve it at the store.
    Spoke with Guy Mitchell, manager of automotive. His take was that everything listed needed replacement and that they dont do repairs, only replace things, that's fine. How about all the other components, ie stainless exhaust pipes, clamps, hangers etc etc they listed?? He didn't care. He did admit that the muffler damage may have occured during their inspection.
    So here it is in summary. I was presented with a fraudulent estimate for expensive and unecessary repairs. Other indepent mechanics had reviewed the vehicle and clearly showed me that most of the repairs quoted were NOT required and in fact those components were in good shape.
    CT head office doesn't care , the automotive manager obviously appears to be complicit in these actions.
    No doubt, no question, this is criminal fraud.
    I hope hat if others have experienced this sort of thing that they'll take action. I'm certainly considering further legal action against them and would appreciate to hear from anyone with a similar experience.
