Bad service, rude staff, not to friendly with folks that are Black, Native, Brown or anything other then white. Have been told by younger staff not to shop there because the service is poor. Can't sharpen skates, infact they said there machine does not work well and there staff are not trained well to sharpen skates but they are still willing to take your money.

I here yah, Very bad service, and rude staff, not to mention no one knows how to help you with any of the products. Had to return almost everything I purchase there. Needless to say I shop at Home Hardware across the street now, helpful, nice, and they know their stuff.

I will never shop there again, the customer service is W five worthy, or hidden camera at the least. The owner should be ashamed after all it is a small community and word gets out.

Extremely poor service, incredibly rude staff - I absolutely agree. There is one cashier there who has been working there a long time who is very nice, the remainder including and especially the management are so unbelievably nasty. I have absolutely no idea why something hasn't been done. It isn't just me, every person I speak to "not originally from the valley" has expressed the exact same opinion and have had similar experiences. My husband and I have spent thousands of dollars there since moving to Hanmer 5 years ago and I now refuse **REFUSE** to shop there. Home Hardware is just across the street and while they are a smaller store, the people who work there seem happy to help. This Canadian Tire associate in Hanmer should be ashamed of his store and his management team.

Is this a larger store, with a lot of cash flow?

I've heard the Dealers who are working their way up to bigger stores, will try to cut corners and stiff the customers, while they are at a 'short term' store. If it's a low-volume store, they will lose money while they are there, so they will be tempted to cut back on refunds and exchanges, to keep their losses low. It makes sense from their point of view - why lose your own money, making customers happy, when any repeat business will go to the next dealer who takes over?

Just curious if that's the case here?
