yah finally found a canadian tire in my area upper gage in hamilton
out of a bunch of cts in the area that sells royal purple oil for my car
oh yah. the only thing wrong there doing with it is pricing it well over a 1.00$
more compared to other places like parts source COME ON! ct thats not faire to
me. price it like parts source for us all?
I'm all for slagging Canadian Tire because they richly deserve it, but your complaint isn't all that valid. IF their price is too high, go somewhere else to buy it!
Too many Canadians are like zombies and can't think for themselves. It's as if they're thinking, "Canadian Tire doesn't have what I need. Whatever will I do now????"
I rate the service there terribly. I bought a brand new bike there; the first day I bought it the petal broke off. The next day they fixed the problem, then one week after the same pedal broke off and the front brakes broke off. I came in on Sunday they said come tomorrow, I came on Monday and they said bring it on Tuesday. I found out that this is because their bike man only comes in one day a week. It is not my fault that their product keeps breaking on me, I am using it for riding on sidewalks and the road, but I cannot return it and have to keep dealing with it breaking.
They shouldn't sell faulty merchandise, still waiting for my bike to repaired.
Hello,
How do you mean when you say the brakes broke off?
I bought new tires and they snuck on the Protection Plan Plus option. I had previously called to ask about extra charges, and this was not mentioned, neither was it when I paid - they just added it on. I went back to have it taken off, and the Serviceman just made excuses - "we didn't sneak it on, it pays for itself", "you signed the paperwork", "we don't tell you about the government charges". Well I was told about the government charges on the phone, which I already knew about, and that is NOT an option, the protection plan IS! I signed the paperwork, not knowing they would have added some extra charge and not tell/discuss it with me! So Service couldn't take the charge off, went to Customer Service, neither can they. There was the Serviceman and 3 Customer Service people, talking really low so I couldn't hear, and one thing I caught is that "well, most people just leave it". I felt SO stupid. I suggested if they can't adjust this charge, then leave it and give me a store credit, but they can't do that either - I now have to go back another day to talk to the "head" Customer Service person. They made me feel so terrible that I was in tears driving home! I have sent an email and snail mail letter to the head office in Toronto, and something better be done !!!!!!
how on earth do u sign something and not read it first? nobody sneaks something onto a contract... it's on a document, you chose not to read it. don't blame them, blame yourself. hopefully they reverse the charge but for real, you're in the wrong, not them.
Because if something is an option it should not just be added without discussing it, which was backed by the Customer Service Manager and Toronto Customer Service. I also previously asked what extra charges there were for tire replacement and was NOT told anything about a Protection Plan as an option or otherwise. You are just reinforcing what I have learned, that Canadian Tire (at least this one) cannot be trusted ! You must work there ...
im not sure if i missed something. if they added it afterwards then yes that is wrong. if they added it as part of what they quoted and it was on the original paperwork that you signed and agreed to, doesnt seem like anything wrong to me.
if you sign for work to be done without reading or asking questions, and the final amount was the same as when it started, you're at fault. i dont work there
if the customer didn't want protection plan, the S.A. should of z'ed the column, i did it all the time, no big deal!
alot of places don't tell the customer what the protection plan is, if hey they don't get it , then the warranty falls back on
the pro-rated aspect of the warranty, i tell them that the warranty doesn't doesn't include mounting an balancing
but, that the good thing about the ct warranty policy they have the best , but sad thing is the store manager & the service manager are often crooked SOB's from my own personal experences that i have witnessed and was told to do by the managers, i have worked to some degree at ct for the better part of 8 years, at store range from alberta , manatoba &ontario
the owners learn to be crooks , and thieves then they get their manager to be assholes
