Of Unregistered's numerous and persistent lies, the biggest lie is surely the oft-stated claim that the CPA doesn't allow a customer to cancel the agreement and get a refund for a defective product.

Perhaps the second-biggest lie is this:

Not only does Unregistered tell lies, but he/she lies about others lying, all the while trying to take the moral high ground:

Oh, for sure, Unregistered/CT-Me. That's the FIRST place I'll turn to for "the truth"!

Awww don't run away again mr CT Dealer/ lawguy/ whatever the fuck you call yourselves. Isn't this the 4th or 5th time you've been challenged on your lies and you've run away. You're shooting your mouth off again and have nothing to back it up.I'd like to see you do that in any bar on a friday night. On the spot truth would be served free to the deserving likes of you.

So typical of CT. You bully people from making rightful returns and then it's "a big misunderstanding" when people like me take out the big stick.

It's simple really. If you're so sure of your statement then back it up with cash.

The topic is a brand new, out-of-the-box, dead-on-arrival item.

To use your analogy, imagine a person who buys a brand new car so that they can go on a long road trip. The day of their planned departure, they arrive at the dealer, hop in their new car …. and it won't even start.

A few calls to the manufacturer confirms a manfacturing defect, and it needs a major repair before it will even run. Maybe it needs a whole new engine.

Will the dealer let the customer trade the dead car for an identical one that actually works, so they can take their trip?

    Nope.

Can the dealer at least give the customer a loaner car, while this one gets fixed?

    Nope.

Can the customer get their money back so they can buy a car from a dealer that doesn't sell junk, and stands behind their product?

    Nope.

The dealer simply says, "There's an auto shop just down the road. We'll be glad to let you use our phone to call a tow truck. It's a standard business practice. Don't forget to make your loan payments on time".

How long do you think that dealer would stay in business.

"no different then an automobile repair"?

    It's very, very different.

And I suspect you knew that when you tried to reframe the discussion in a way you like better.

Where's your proof that Home Depot has a policy to refuse refunds and exchanges for things like pressure washers? Or even lawn mowers or snow blowers?

A good starting point might be their web site, which describes a 90-day return policy, which is here:

Return Policy | Home Depot Canada

Show us some proof, for a change.

And please ... no more endless links to manufacturer's warranties.

We are talking store policy, here. Something even Unregistered seemed to have figured out, eventually.

Or you could just admit what we already know: that you are lying.

Just like Unregistered had the courage to admit.

Or are you more cowardly than he/she?

Upon relection, I think I find Unregistered's hypocrisy more abhorrent than any of the individual lies.

He/She has been making up stories about others having "alterior" motives of personal profit. Including Ellen Roseman.

Then it turns out that Unregistered was just trying to line his/her own pockets, at the expense of the customers he/she claims to be trying to "help", by tricking them into leaving their money with Crappy Tire.

    It's disgusting.

At least CT Me and CT Manager are up-front about who they are.

Ain't it strange to you that most people can read and think for themselves and don't need no idjit retailer to tell them what to think. Plain to me you don't like the truth out there and need to pull the wool over my eyes. Simoniz don't make quality and Crappy tires don't stand behind anything it sells. Plain as day you'd steal from my wallet than earn your way in this world.

Your store ain't worth a look to me no more. Get out of Alberta and back to that mudhole Toronto where you from.

Re: "Repair Only Warranty" - No Refund, No Exchange

Spoiler alert......DavidLer, Handyguy, and several unregistered posters are the same person....trying to make it look like there is support for their "version" of the truth, which is NOT the truth, by the way. At the top of the forum, on the far right side is a link for DONATIONS.....I think DavidLer is actually the administrator of this site, looking to suck others into donating to keep his blog site alive. Too bad he is full of shit in his various incarnations and characters. Also, answer the dealer dude's question about why no one has sued Canadian tire for their policies.
