Well, I see the CT Rep's finally got their "Lie Machine" out of low gear, LOL.

There were too many lies to list here, but most have been addressed already, and added to the list where appropriate.

At least they were kind enough to post many right on this thread - saves time that way.

The real news is, one of the CT Rep's finally admitted that CT's return policies are worse than all the other major Canadian retailers. We already knew that, but it was nice of them to admit that.

Maybe we can finally lay that Lie to rest?

It was also nice to get an explanation of how CT is able to get products from their suppliers for less money, if they agree to make returns more difficult for the customer.

But, we already knew that, too, and nobody had fallen for the "it's to keep things out of the landfill" lie.

Gee, is there a mood of confession in the wind?

Okay losers lets play a game. It's called YOU interpret the laws and regulations. You've been playing this game on your own accord, now i'm putting you to the challenge.

Future Shop & Best Buy return policy states No returns on DVD's, movies, CD's etc....
If defective, exchange only for the exact same title.

So explain to me which section of the Consumer Protection Act this falls under?
How does any of it apply?
Can't the consumer just demand a refund because they don't like the sellers terms?

Now, now....faker advocate. Too many lies from you...I don't think CTC's policies are worse than others and in lots of cases they are better.
I didn't say that CTC buys from their suppliers for less in exchange for making returns more difficult...how about we sell for less, so are diligent on ensuring that costs are kept down on needless returns. Good business model....one that other retailers have been changing over the last few years as well.
Tsk, tsk....faker advocate....you is gettin' called on lots of your bull lately.

That's easy....it's because they are not Canadian Tire so it doesn't count and you're a liar...lol

These goobers have ignored the blatantly obvious for so long, that it is obvious to any reader that they don't live in the real world. Left unchallenged on their wrong opinions and who knows what crap they would spew.....that's why this site has a disclaimer to the accuracy of the content posted.
Tsk, tsk.....faker advocates.

I suspect the loser consumer advocates will either ignore this all together, or try to spin it. I await...I await

Same game, although I haven't had an answer to the first part of the game.

http://www.homedepot.ca/wcsstore/HomeDepotCanada/pdf/en_CA/MAJOR_APPLIANCE_DELIVERY.pdf

here's a link to Home Depot Canada's information regarding home appliances. It specifically states that after 48 hours any defect becomes a manufacturers warranty issue. call them directly, skip Home Depot all together.

According to you loser advocates, its a purcahse, you have the right to cancel the contract. So drop it off at Home Depot, get your cash back.

how does THIS get looked at with the CPA, SGA etc....?

By the way, in regards to previous posts that the consumer has the right to "cancel an agreement" and receive their money back, quoted from teh CPA, i might suggest looking at the header of the section you found that under. It's called FUTURE CONTRACTS. Like you agree to have a kitchen installed or house built or something.... and change your mind. you can cancel a FUTURE contract and receive your money back. Not one that's already been completed. future contract. drill that into your head, it's the section you keep quoting from the CPA

have fun answering
:)

hey look!

with an hd appliance it doesn't revert to the manufacturers warranty the second you buy it

instead theres a nonzero period of time when the retailer will stand behind what they sell!!!!!

thanks ct reps for finally proving some proof of something - of how much you suck compared to hd!!!

these ct reps are a riot!

they are still under the delusion that consumers are going to take orders from them – here of all places!

yes, it’s still pretty entertaining when they try to set up rules for the consumers to follow!

buy, hey, if the Rep’s have got some counter-evidence to present, I say, “bring it on”.

we should give it all the consideration it deserves :)

(But a word to the wise: warranties and fraudulant accounts of phony phone calls won’t be very persuasive to us consumers – we’ve been lied to just too many times. Only verifiable evidence, please!)

You've been given plenty of evidence to every WRONG opinion you've blurted out....and as I have said, you ignore it and call every poster a liar....Hilarious!
I'm back to you are irrelevant and useless. Don't forget to donate.

Still waiting for a reply that actually addresses my two posts losers.

DVD's and movies - can you return them and demand a refund? how does the CPA apply since the consumer has "THE RIGHT" (according to you losers) to a refund for every defective product

Appliances - Manufacturers warranty applies - that means they send out a repair person to fix your broken fridge. Isn't that ummmm illegal??

Come on losers..... we're playing a game here, can't you compete?

hi

it seems to me you are asking the wrong forum.

i think red flag deals has answers to questions like this.

this is for canadian tire stuff - do they even sell dvds and big appliances?

maybe you can call the ministry on monday - they should know.

good luck with your questions - hope you get your dvd and appliance issues resolved!

Yeah, you probably don't want to solicit the opinons and interpretations of random people on the internet.

Instead, you might some of the links I found over on this thread - they sounds pretty reputable: https://www.canadiantiresucks.net/g...aints-chat/707-sale-goods-act-6.html#post3613

lol clearly you're not comprehending any of what's going on. I'm a CT Dealer. You are the losers. To debunk your myths about return policies and defective products and warranties I researched BestBUy & Future Shop and quickly found their policy on DVD and movie returns which says no exchange or return. On a defective DVD, exchange only for the exact samd dvd. I want to know how this differs from any of canadian tire's policies that do not allow a cash back refund on certain items and since you claim the CPA says a consumer has THE RIGHT to a refund, how does the CPA apply in this case.

Secondly Home depot's appliance policy says after 48 hours, manufacturers warranty applies. Again, same claim that the CPA should apply according to your "consumer can DEMAND a refund" claim. So if after 3 weeks your fridge dies, load it into your pick em up truck and bring it back....get your cash.

I want to know according to all you retail experts out here.... what's the answer. What happens with the CPA. Can a customer get their money back given any of the two above situations.

Um, you say you are a "CT Dealer", but your are coming to CanadianTireSucks.net to get advise from "retail experts"?

Doesn't that seem kind of dumb?

I mean, shouldn't you know this stuff already? I think its kind of your job or something.

How come you don't just take my advise and look up those CPA references, or call the Ministry on Monday?

Why do you want people on here to do your research for you?

It sounds like you don't believe what they tell you, anyway!

Just sayin'.

i think theyre right

you should talk to somebody who at least says they are an expert. not just somebody who only quotes web sites, and doesn't really offer any opinons of their own.

(except for "if its against the law then its illegal". i can figure THAT much out for MYSELF!)

i don't care how reputable the site looks - always better to get somebody who really knows there stuff, you know?

hey, doesn't ct have people you can go to on this stuff? You know, instead of asking anonymous strangers on the internet?

maybe there's a special Dealer phone number or something. maybe a guy at another store that you know?

You know i dont buy any of this 'oh i'm a big-shot dealer' stuff

For one thing wtf are they doing on this goofy site on a friday night - arent they supposed to be rich?

Hire some kid to do it for you LOL!

Plus if they were a dealer for real theyd know this stuff already and not be seeking opinions on here

Hey i did a little searching on here for the word 'expert'

Nobody seems to be stepping up and saying, oh i'm this big expert

Just the opposite, oh i'm no expert. Just other people saying, oh youre such an expert, tell me such and such

Plus i think this so called dealer is the one who writes 'you lose loser'

Not executive material LOL

So i just not feeling this person as a for real dealer

Maybe their kid or something
