While we're on this topic, it's interesting to review what The Angry Sangria CT Guy recently posted at https://www.canadiantiresucks.net/ge...html#post11445

    Really?

"Most consumers" would never, ever, ever buy something on the off chance that maybe they won't like is as much as they thought?

Obviously, that's a CTer's dream: products going one way only - OUT the door.

But what about consumers? Do they really behave the way CTer S-Angry-Guy describes?

Of course, we all know that the CTer is wrong. We all want a chance, sometimes, to try a product out, and assume that all the retailers are the same, and will let us bring it back (like they've always done).

Yet the CTer makes this outrageous claim!

So, what evidence do we have, to refute this nonsense?

What, besides our own common sense, and experience with our fellow consumers?

    Well, now ....

Let's take a look at this post here, from S-Angry-Guy:

And in that CBC story, we find this little gem:

"Canadians return 8.6 per cent of everything we buy.".

    Wow!

I didn't know it was THAT high!

Almost 10% of EVERYTHING we buy, we RETURN!

And that is going to include groceries, automobiles, furniture, as well as clothing and housewares!

    Wow!

Thank you, S-Angry-CT-Guy, for proving yourself wrong .... yet again!

    LMFAO!

I wouldn't normally quote someone else and then equate it to me, but to each their own.

8.6 now is 10%. Wow, nice exaggeration there.
Read the comments, the majority doesn't seem to have your view. As I said, the majority rules.

im just a little curious how he 'looks' at items that are packaged....does he have x ray vision?according to his logic he cannot buy anything that he cannot see properly, therefore everything in a box is off the menu.

Yes, that's exactly what S-Angria-Guy said:

So imagine S-Angria-Guy in, say Crappy Tire.

    - Would he buy a vacuum cleaner? It's in a box, so no way would he buy it. Period.

    - Coffee maker? Nope - in a box, so off limits!

    - A box of nails? No way!

    - Package of assorted screw drivers? Not a chance.

    - Dog food? Cat litter? Windshield fluid? All packaged! All off-limits!

There is is a long, long list of things that S-Angria-Guy would never, ever, never buy from his own Red Triangle of Crap store.

So, what do you suppose old S-Angry-Guy does? Live without products that come packaged?

Well, of course not! He must surely be buying them from .....

    - Walmart!

    - Or Home Depot!

    - Oh! Maybe he has a Costco membership! Not a lot of money per month, and he's gonna need SOME packaged foods, appliances, etc.!

Because those are the ONLY types of stores that S-Angria-Guy would be willing to buy from: Stores with a Satisfaction Guarantee policy!

So, the "try me out" stores, are the ONLY places where S-Angra-Guy could EVER buy packaged goods!

Thanks for the shopping tip, S-Angria-Guy! We will follow your lead, and boycott Crappy Tire for all packaged goods, immediately! Maybe for unpackaged goods, too!

    LMFAO!

Re: Returning Unwanted Goods - CT Has the Worst Policies

Funny how the Angry Troll is trying to spin this into 'proof' of his theory that Canadians don't return things, and don't like store that allow reasonable returns! Hilarious!

But the CBC article has stat's and comments showing that, of course, that Canadians do lots of return, and of course they want good policies. Thenrhe show itself backed this up, as do the majority of the comments on the web site.

But let's not let the Angry CT Troll distract us from the theme of this thread:

Crappy Tire has the worst return policies among the big Canadian stores, including returns of unwanted goods!

    Consumers: Beware!

    Check out this consumer's summary:

Debbie C.: Did you watch Marketplace on CBC last night? They have one of the strictest return policies.

Re: Returning Unwanted Goods - CT Has the Worst Policies

Gotta like this comment on the CBC story:

    detalumis
@dumb vancouver Not true, I very rarely return anything, I just give it away to someone else or to the Salvation Army to resell. My last experience was at Cdn Tire buying a leaf vacuum which was a piece of junk, basically unusable, only then did I realize they have a bad return policy. I then bought a better one (for less money) at Home Depot and will never purchase anything more than basic stuff at Cdn Tire ever again.
