Really? You are 100% certain about that?

You absolutely, positively know who it was who "got in trouble", do you?

And you absolutely, with 100% certainly know for sure that not even ONE of those people are "on here"?

What do you do - monitor the internet usage of every single on of them, 24/7?

At their homes, businesses, iPads, and internet cafe visits?

Are you really saying that you do all that?

Are you sure you aren't just exaggerating just a tiny little bit?

Huh?

got in trouble is a relative term first of all as there were no fines, penalties or additional investigations. If you read closely you'll see that it was determined to be a satisfactory outcome according to the investigators report.

I did not say I monitor these folks 24/7 - I believe that would be YOUR exaggeration not mine.
I do however know the individual in question and have mentioned to him that it did come up in a topic of conversation on a forum, he was not familiar with the forum. Nor did he care

The law trumps your store policy. And to be clear, you do more than just look at the ID. Which is what got you in trouble in the first place.

Don't worry. I won't be shopping at your stores any time soon.

Really? Against the law you say? Interesting that it is publicly disclosed on their website, in-store, and on millions of receipts printed year over year. I find it interesting that there has never been a criminal investigation of this apparent illegal activity. Don't worry about all that math. On an anonymous faker advocate site, you can post any lie you want.
Better yet, read all the retailers return policies and privacy statements.....they've all been posted throughout this site, many, many times....kind of all the same on photo I'd may be required. Just more and more math, as they haven't been found to be doing anything illegal in that regard as well. Just millions upon millions of potential cases for illegality, yet you would have people believe you are correct in your opinion. Yeah, fakers sure do have a problem with common sense.

Speaking of posting anything you want, i'm still waiting for the reply to the claim that CT is swiping drivers license into some sort of mystery card reader to collect and steal private information. What is this machine ? Come on, fess up to you bold face lies

I passed your post to my litigator wife. She and the sorority girls thought you missed the random posting of a card swipe machine. Hilarious! Now, Grampa, Cth8er, DavidLer, Gizzard, and the rest of my personalities, whoops friends, are going for a coffee at Starbucks in home depot to diss you. Yeah, we're going to diss you good.

I guess you need a little refresher into one of the many non-mysterious machines capable of reading driver's licenses:

Google says it only took 0.22 seconds to find this device:

Id Reader Snapshell IDR

"Canadian supported ID cards: Canadian Citizen ID, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, North West Territories, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan"

I'm sure there are others, and that a stripe reader already installed in a store could read various other formats, too.

Mystery solved!

I suppose Crappy Tire might choose to use a different system, but there's no mystery at all.

Looks like you need a little refresher on the law, too. Tsk, tsk, law-breaking Crappy People.

How quickly you forget about the laws governing your jurisdictions.

[17] It further follows that the Calgary store contravened section 7(2),
since an organization cannot require someone to consent to collection of
personal information that is not necessary.

[10] Section 7(2) of PIPA is also relevant to this case. It provides as
follows:
An organization shall not, as a condition of supplying a product or
service, require an individual to consent to the collection, use or
disclosure of personal information about an individual beyond what
is necessary to provide the product or service.

Let me know when you can prove that this or any other machine exists in a CT store. Until then, better call Jesse Ventura. LOL!

Why so angry Crappy? Are more people finding out about Walmart? Still mad at W5 for telling the truth ? Are more people fed up with you? Are your sales down? Those links from the consumer advocates has got you upset? More and more people seeing through your lies and have had it?That's ok. Go ahead, you know you want to. Blame the customer again. Blame everyone else except yourselves.

Now go trotting across the street to Walmart and get your household goods. Keep supporting United States companies, you're a real homegrown hero.

Feeling entitled and lashing out are you? Isn't it funny you accuse customers and the unions of the very same thing lol.

I will keep going to Walmart or Target when they arrive. Me and all the disenfranchised, womens-empowerment gyno-club professors, church goers, litigator wives, top 20 list producers, sorority girls, 9 to 5'ers working-for-the-man minimum wage union loving stiffs, etc. I certainly don't need to dirty my soles in your store. Even if your store was having a blazing going out of business bankruptcy sale I still wouldn't go in. Maybe I would go in just to see the look on your face, and then you could see my ass walk to Walmart or Targets :)

It could be more than 220 locations near you!

So you would think there would be an edict or lawsuit or public admonishment of such a blatantly illegal policy. Yet nothing. I wonder why that is? Are all the governing bodies ignoring some illegality? Perhaps CT is just better at breaking the law than other guys....or perhaps faker advocate loses again and his opinion isn't law. Let me know what litigator wife tells you. Lmao!

In my opinion, angry Crappy still trying to dirty up the waters. Are you justifying breaking the law? Are you saying that because the official investigation by the Privacy Commissioner wasn't labeled criminal or fined you, that it's less important?

What's wrong with you people? What ever happened to your common sense and following the law?

The privacy investigation was thorough and you got caught Despite having all those signs and policy statements, that didn't stop you from violating the customers privacy, did it!?!? And like someone said before, you'd still be doing it to this day if it weren't for that customer filing a complaint to the Privacy Commissioner, isn't that right!??!?!
Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

You CT Owners have this arrogant attitude about following the laws much less your own store policies and consumer rights.

But if it's fines and criminal investigations you want to talk about...

Let's add one more to the list for fraud, 3 CT Owners investigated for fraud and fined. Could there be more? Do you still want to talk about criminal fines and investigations?

Waterloo Region Record - Sep 15, 1993
WallaceWally Dufrat president secretarytreasurer and sole shareholder of the city's Canadian Tire store pleaded guilty to one charge of tax evasion

Waterloo Region Record - Nov 2, 1996
The franchise owner of the Canadian Tire store on Highland Road West in Kitchener was fined $60,000 in provincial court Friday as "punishment" for his negligence in the accidental death of employee Kevin Brenner, 21, on April 7, 1995.

Retail Company Fined $60,000 After Worker Injured

Ottawa Citizen - Sep 2, 1986
WINNIPEG - Canadian Tire Corp. has been fined 100.000 for misleading advertising

My math and accounting is just fine.

LMAO...tax evasion by a dealer....not that I'm supportive, but why exactly was that fraud against a customer? I believe that CTC punted this dealer for the illegality to boot.

Then there's the wrongful death of an employee 15 years ago! Not much fraud in that.

And illegal advertising only 21 years ago....LOL

Yes you're math is just fine, actually it's stupendous.....LMAO!!!

Faker advocates, hahaha....thanks for the laugh.

Don't forget your earlier theory that there is really only one consumer posting here, and that you already call him/her/them "faker advocate(s)".

Just looking for a little consistency in your delusions.

I heard that litigator wife, DavidLer, Cth8er, Grampa, Gizzard and "unregistered" were heading over to the pastor and congregations's meeting to diss CTC. They don't like stuff, they don't like it at all. I hear they might bring a calculator to help with the math. My math showed 997 customers today, up 8% from last year....but then again, it was the 89th birthday celebration, and the deals were smokin'. Yeah.....all that math! LOL!

I think we are going to name you Angry CT Hater Guy

You've called me plenty of names in the book. Just a humble 9 to 5 er , minimum wage working for the man, mental health, vitamin popping, legal advocate litigator, pro-feminist, non-sewing, -non cleaning for anyone else, union loving NDP, consumer advocate.

I don't like getting ripped off or seeing people waste their hard earned money.
