FAIL
Check the Forzani balance sheet

less then $400 million in liabilities
$740 million in assets

So, even by their own admission, the assets of Forzani are only $745 million, and the geniuses at Crappy Tire forked out $765 million, over-paying by about $20 million.

No, wait. Crappy Tire 'wisely' agreed to assume the $400 million in debt. So, they actually paid $765 million but got only $340 mission in assets.

Overpaid by $425 million!

Nice job, Crappy Tire!

Financial geniuses, all of you!

It makes your failed expansion into Texas look like a roaring success, by comparison!

How many defective Simoniz pressure washers and cedar trees does that represent? Just wondering, since you are so good at math, LOL!

Oh, and where did you wise accountants say the other $600 mission went? You know, the rest of the $1 billion they borrowed, to make this deal happen?

Man, I guess you'lll have to start selling major appliances, with a "no return" policy, huh?

Oh wait: that's already in place.

You guys are just SO SMART!

LMAO!

Well, then, you "claimed" that the information you posted was correct, did you not?

Or are you now admitting that you lied to the consumers on this forum?

Which is it? Are you a liar, or not?

Just wondering ...

You're aware there's more then one anonymous poster on this forum are you not?

just wondering......

Yes, I am aware that there is more "than" one anonymous poster on this forum.

That's why I directed my comment to the person who wrote "less then $400 million in liabilities
$740 million in assets insolvent you say?"

Are YOU aware that only one person can post a single message?

Just wondering why you are being so annoying ...

Don't forget how they managed to cause a down-grade of their own credit rating!

They go on and on about how important credit is, but they can't even manage theirs! LOL Hilarious!

Yup, the Crappy Tire Geniuses really screwed up, big time.

It's like a buddy of mine who bought a $2000 car, but it turned out it had a $1000 lien against it. So, he ended up paying $3000 for a $2000 car. Bad deal!

Same with Crappy Tire. They bought a $765 million company, but it comes with a $1 billion debt. So, they will end up paying $1.765 billion for a company that's not even worth $765 million!

Good job, Crappy Tire! Good job!

mebe they could sell it as new and then put the warranty information in the fine print! Oh CT's thinking cap must be smoking over that one lol. But where oh where should they put cars in the online catalogue? Surely it can't be next to the "no warranty" pool they're selling.

Let's see if they get enough of those cars then they could issue their own derivative bonds for full value and voila...good as new lol. Just don't look under the hood of these babies...or even your own car that's been "repaired" for that matter lol

LOL you quote this as if it's like impending death. $105 million profit. Uh oh here comes bankruptcy lol

" impending death ', " here comes bankruptcy " , You wrote these words, not me. Are you afraid that may happen ?
I am just quoting these figures from public source. That's all.

The Crappy People like to trumpet whatever goods news they can scrape together, and pretend the bad news doesn't exist.

When they say their sales are up 5%, they aren't talking about just Crappy Tire retail.

No, the revenue from Crappy Retail is actually lower, year-over-year, down from $1.609 billion to $1.598 billion, a decrease of 0.7%.

Sales per square foot are also lower year-over-year, down 0.8%.

It's only when they add in sales from the Mark's store, and also from Petroleum, that things look better.

The Financial segment is also down, which up until recently had been helping out with their sagging sales.

Wait a minute. Their revenue is LOWER by .7%? But they say they have "Growth" of 1.9%???

What kind of 'creative accounting' are they using????

Say it ain't so!!! Oh GAWD please no...they can read! Those whiny 9 to 5ers faker consumer advocates .01% CT haters can read, and are financially literate. They can figure things out for themselves and know the truth. What does the truth look like anyways? Quickly, red shirt troops lets flood them with more "600 suck sites, take your meds, click the donate button" and anything else our wise returns policy makers can think of. Hurry. Always remind them of our numbers "50000 strong, 500 mothership stores, 500 more sporting goods store and those teenage workers (let's call it disposable expansion experiment 3)

Customers can't possibly have an effect on our bottom line!!! Say it aint so!!!

LOL! That's just how these Crappy People operate.

The way their "sales growth" is going, pretty soon they'll have no revenue at all!

LOL I am the ct genius

Look at what the report says
flagship retail sales up 5%
gas bar up 22.8%

oops, sorry about your luck. yes it's all of those disappearing customers that are causing a retail increase for the red triangle

OK, 'ct genius', maybe you can answer a couple of questions:

- If Crappy Tire's debt went up by $1 billion, but only $400 million were needed to pay off Forzani's debt, where did the other $600 million go?

- If Crappy Tire's store revenue (including PartSource and auto service labour) is LOWER by .7%, how can they claim "Growth" of 1.9%?

Just curious, since you are a "genius" and everything ...

Yes oh great black shirt Crappy Truth returns wizard. We choose you to lead our army of red troops yet again so that we may conquer as we once did proudly south of the border. God rest their souls.

To the sports chek empire we will trust soley, the teenager behind the returns desk. We will grant them great wizard powers to deny any and all returns forever. For that gift they will have eternal employment at the maximum, minimum wage till the next quarter or meeting or whenever the mothership deems a sacrifice is necessary. To the absolutely loyal, you will be promoted and given special powers perfected by the 777 Upper James Hamilton death squad, pile-up team. Those powers can be used outside of the store as well.

Yayyyy! A thief got killed. One less loser in the world.

You must earn your way for that job perk which is at the end of a very long road. For now start saying no to questions, any questions, and then you'll work your way up to the returns desk. There you'll attain powers to upset people. Doesn't matter who or what they are :). Do that well and then we'll see

- fearless leader, mega super millionaire red shirt leader #1, laughing at 9 to 5'ers who think they have it made, master of the minimum wagers
