Donna D.: I have to say ,yes getting customer service has always been a problem and rude when you do get it but in my particular local store ,there seems to be an effort in changing that image and I have come to really like the auto section, the service is quite good ,with thought given to the fact Money is an issue for some of us! Also maybe getting feed back will help improve service everywhere,ONLY TIME WILL TELL.

Followup from a lady whose husband was falsely accused of theft, and was responding to another person with a complaint (both of which The CTer would undoubtedly ignore):

Linda C.: Please keep me updated on your progress. It is disturbing to me that they can get away with such bad behavior. We want an apology, a well deserved apology, but it does not appear they believe it is warranted...not sure why!! We have been loyal customers for decades, have put up with a lot from this branch but this was something much more than rude or bad service. I could list other complaints.. hate it when you go to pickup something on sale and they are out of stock..on the first day of the sale!! I still say shame on them! Good luck to you and please stay in touch.

If Customer Service really was important to CT, there wouldn't be a steady stream of posts like this one:

Vince S.: Read your fine print on all purchases from Canadian Tire. They don't explain policy or exclusions until time to warranty an item. And they will find loop holes to avoid replacing items

If Canadian Tire truly cared about making customers happy, they wouldn't be selling crappy products like this one:

Lammy L.: I purchased Betty Crocker 3 section serving trays. I have used them twice last Christmas and thanks giving do not purchase this item the lids are plastic and they cracked after twice using them

Lammy L.: I have since written head office and Betty Crocker over this item and I see I am not the only one with this problem

Jacques D.B.: One would expect that CT would have the elementary politeness to respond to a complaint. Lucky for us there are other stores, Home Depot, Home Warehouse and even Walmart in a pinch!.

If Walmart truly cared about making their customers happy they wouldn't be selling crappy products like this one:
Oster 12 cup Programmable Coffeemaker - 3307-33 | Walmart.ca

Look at this one of several poor reviews from customers;

"This is the third coffeemaker, do not purchase. 4-6 weeks to receive new coffeemaker from warranty service centre. Had to buy an additional coffeemaker to replace the broken one. Walmart only covers it under 90 days, then you must go through there warranty replacement. For a $50 coffeemaker it is junk"

That's just one of the reviews RIGHT ON WALMARTS OWN WEBSITE. Such deplorable product this company carries. Hey look.... 4-6 weeks to receive from warranty service centre? WHAT? you mean they couldn't just walk in and get a new one? Walmart only covers for 90 days?

************

Buddy I can play this game all day long. There is a TON of information available from and to consumers about products and service for every retailer in Canada.

It's shameful that in your attempts to sway the Canadian consumers away from Canadian Tire you are providing misinformation and ignoring everything that's right in your face. You are not helping consumers. Just a guy with a computer and a grudge

Haier | Black Portable Ice Maker | Home Depot Canada
Terrible consumer reviews, RIGHT ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE! They should pay attention to what customers are saying or brick by brick they will begin to disappear

This reminds me of that time period, when CTMe/Lawguy/TheMoanerOne posted a gazillion manufacturer’s warranties on this site, under the delusion that warranties were somehow related to return policis.

It went on for a while, so we should all brace ourselves for long sessions of “scroll down”.

But, for the first few posts at least, the various misrepresentations by The CTer (CTMe/Lawguy/TheMoanerOne) ought to be addressed.

Let’s start with the obvious: This treads is about Canadian Tire Complaints on Facebook.

None of the posts by The CTer are about CT products.

And none are even about Facebook!

Nice off-topic posting, there!

And lets not forget that The Moaner is posting links to product reviews, and on the Canadian Tire site, such posts are routinely rejected for posting, and those that slip through are removed in what The Moaner has called "Maintenance" - as if the server couldn't function properly if it contained negative reviews, LOL!

In any case, discussions of other retailers ought to be followed-up over here: https://www.canadiantiresucks.net/g...er-retailers-canadian-tire-still-sucks-2.html

Now, I suppose if The CTer is genuinely upset about these products, then they could as their New Best Friend (or is it ‘alter ego’?) Sangria, for the links to all those “sucks.com” sites they claim to have, for Home Depot Canada, Walmart Canada, Future Shop, etc.

And, of course we have the same of lame-o implication, that if anybody complains about any products at any other stores, then somehow Canadian Tire (and their notoriously low-quality products) must actually not suck at all – nice try, CTMe/Lawguy/TheMoanerOne!

Now, to take a look at some of the specific misrepresentations ...

Something to think about:

Most retailers provide a 'general' thread, where consumers can post miscellaneous complaints. But Crappy Tire does not. Still, CT's shady technique in not enough to silence the many critics of Crappy Tire and their horrible policies.

Also, you will notice that if Crappy Tire responds at all to complaints on their Facebook page, they do so by stating how much they "care about their customers." Do you see other retailers responding thusly on the Product Review pages? Of course not!

Yeah, what's REALLY going on here?

Make no mistake. CTMe/Lawguy/Moaner is just ticked off, that all the complaints from ordinary Canadians are being saved here for easy viewing, instead of being quietly buried on their own Facebook page.

And they are ticked off, too, that the hollowness of their insincere "we care about our customers" responses are being exposed.

I just LOVE an opportunity to tell the world how much Canadian Tire Sucks, especially compared to a superior retailer like Walmart!

Guess what? The customers who didn't like this coffee maker? They could simply return it to the store for a refund!

Refund!
Refund!
Refund!

And if they lost their receipt? Well, they could get a store credit!

But what if you bought a coffee maker at Crappy Tire, and you didn't like it?

What guarantees would you have?

Well, if you'd opened the package and tried it out .... you'd be guaranteed that there's a policy in place saying you have to keep it! Or sell it on Ebay or Kijiji.

Yup, just gotta LOVE those superior return policies at the lovely Walmart!

Next up: the Home Depot ice maker.

Guess what happens, if you don't like it?

You get a refund, even if you opened the package!

Refund!
Refund!
Refund!
Refund!

Yes, indeed, Home Depot DOES care about their customers - by allowing them to bring things back if they are unsatisfied!

If Future Shop cared about their customers they wouldn't have a crappy product like this on their shelf. This once great company has gone to shambles.

Panasonic 1.2 Cu. Ft. Microwave (NNST671S) - Stainless Steel - Refurbished : Countertop Microwaves - Future Shop

Ok, this time CTme/Lawguy/TheMoaner are REALLY misrepresenting things!

(Beside the fact that this isn't a complaint about CT on a Facbook page, that is!)

Because:

- This is product is available on the "Web Only" (hey, Crappy Tire - how's your web store doin'? Ooops!)
- This product is "Refurbished", so it is not a new unit. Kinda like what they slip onto the shelves over at Crappy Tire, LOL!

Nice try, CT'er!

Delivered broken? No sound for another customer!
Walmart, how can you expect to compete in this marketplace with such terrible service. How can you expect to satisfy your customers when items like this have a presence in your stores?

Emerson 50" LED TV | Walmart.ca

This is a riot! I can't stop LAUGHING!

OK, check it OUT!

A TV from Walmart.

Now, what do you suppose the return policy is on this?

Do you suppose you have to bring it back unopened, unused, and untouched?

Nope! You see, Walmart Canada actually stands behind what they sell, unlike Crappy Tire.

So, those 2 people who didn't like this TV?

People who opened the box and found a broken screen?

People who tried it out and didn't like the sound?

Well, they got to bring it back for a refund!

Even after they tried it out! Woo-hoo!

Are you not sure if you really want to own that TV? Concerned that maybe the reviews were negative? Want to hedge your bets?

Well DO NOT buy one at Crappy Tire - try another retailer first - ANY other retailer.

Costco's the best. Walmart is excellent. Target has a good policy. Future shop, not as good (for electronics), but a safer bet than CT!

What's that chant again?

Oh yeah!

Refund!
Refund!
Refund!
Refund!
Refund!
Refund!
Refund!

Hilarious!

OK!

One More! One More!

(Oh - my tummy hurts, for laughing so hard!!!)

If Lowes cared about their customers they would not put this kind of poor quality item on their shelf. If they want to survive in Canada they must treat the Canadian consumer better then this. This is deplorable, despicable, embarrassing and shameful. Shame on you Lowes.

RotoZip 125552919 DR1-1100 Drywall Router with XBits? Kit

Hey! I LOVE this game!

Not only do I get to point out the many ways in which Crappy Tire uniquely sucks in the Canadian market place (with their terrible return policies and poor customer support), but I get to rubthe CTer's nose in their latest flurry of misrepresenations, LOL!

OK, for this one?

Lowes Canada has, indeed, demonstrated a committment to stocking good-quality products on their shelves!

Because this item has been "Discontinued" (perhpas due to poor quality?), and these specific items are "Clearance" (hard to miss, if you actually READ the web page!).

Guess what happens at CT? There are many reports that they put the refurbished units BACK on the SHELF! Maybe not even refurbished - just plain 'back on the shelf'!

And for "Clearance"? Guess what? Pretty much EVERYTHING at Crappy Tire is CLEARANCE! No returns, no exchanges, no refunds - Clearance!

Oh - and one more thing: it's "Online Only", LOL! (Hey, CT? How's your e-store coming along? Oh, neer mind - LMAO!)

But wait - it gets friggin' BETTER!

From the "Return Policy" page at Return Policy - Lowe's Canada

"If you receive an item you’re dissatisfied with, you may return it within 90 days** of receipt to any Lowe’s store in Canada for a refund to your original tender within our current return policy guidelines."

That's right, folks!

The return policy for an ON-LINE, CLEARANCE item at Lowes Canada is BETTER than Crappy Tire's policy, for stuff you buy IN THE STORE!

LMFAO!!!!

Refund!
Refund!
Refund!
Refund!
Refund!
Refund!
Refund!

This is hilarious!!!

Thank you for proving my point, while all together missing the point at the same time!

I did EXACTLY what you did. I picked a product that has poor ratings based on customers who purchased them and were unhappy. Then used your own term " if they cared about customers they wouldn't sell a poor quality product".
As if a failed product really meant a retailer didn't care. Lol.

But you're not intelligent enough to know you're being mocked with your own words on your own website. Lol. Now that's hilarious. Might be a good inidicater as to why consumers dont post here. This site sucks at everything it's meant to accomplish. Lol.

There's no misrepresentation. I simply posted what customers said about a product.

Lastly I noted you skipped over the lady who had a few of the same units fail and they STILL made her wait 4-6 weeks to get it from warranty depot because it was beyond 90 days at the store. Now how can that be when repair warranties are illegal and you're sure all of these other retailers will just exchange or refund during the warranty period? Care to address this or just ignore ??
