    Just went to the Canadian tire store in Mount pearl newfoundland purchased 2 tires and rims for $900 was told to pull up to put tires in my vehicle when the mechanic brought tires out it was the wrong rims I went back inside the guy grumbled told me I had to get a refund I proceeded to customer service there I was told I wasn't getting a refund until I moved my vehicle the manager showed up threatened to have my vehicle towed we got confrontation and then they threatened to call the police which they did. Now Canadian tire has my $900 and I have nothing. Customer service at its best




    Have spoken with corporate Canadian tire , other stores and everyone is just as shocked as to the treatment as of today I've bought the tires and rims at another location with great customer service. Still do not have a refund or the original tires and rims from the merchant drive location of Canadian tire in Mount pearl newfoundland

    Had a very disappointing experience with Canadian Tire once again. More of my business will be switching over to Wal-Mart, Home Depot and Home Hardware. Bought an air mattress that was on sale and didn't hold air. Tried to return it and turns out their is a yellow sticker with fine print on it (didn't have my glasses on when I bought so I couldn't read it) saying that it could only be returned for exchange, no refund. Since it was on sale there was nothing else in the same price range so if I wanted to switch to another product I would have to pay the difference (which was about $40.00). I didn't want to pay $100.00+ for an air mattress so I was forced to take the same one. I did phone Canadian Tire head office to complain and found out how much the company has declined over the years. The biggest one, and I quote...

    "Canadian Tire does not guarantee customer satisfaction with the product we sell."

    Really? Wow.

    My next favourite thing said to me was...

    "Sir, I don't see how exchanging or returning product is an inconvenience."

    Like I have nothing better to do with my time the open up the product, find it faulty, drive back to the store, stand in line, etc.

    Next on the list...

    "We assume when you open the box you want the product."

    Hmmmm...so my plan it buy the product, take it home, decide then if I wanted what I had just bought and determine if I am going to return it or not? Oh...wait a minute...I forgot, returning something is not an inconvenience.

    Then to top it off it's the store saying it's up to head office if the money gets refunded, then head office sending me back to the store because since each store is independently owned it's up to the store manager, who when talking to him says that it's up to head office.

    The biggest thing for everyone to be aware of is Canadian Tire does not stand behind what they sell. The quotes above are exact quotes, I didn't paraphrase anything.

    How NOT to run things:


    Gary C. Must be the one in dieppe i asked them for the best tires and get them studed once i left i could stop or drive a little hill it would just spin so i went back to see if i could get another set because u have 30 days but they wouldnt do a thing so i went to goguen tire and a guy was there to return his new tires and they took it back no problem and the guy told me u can have the best tires in the world but sometimes u can have a bad batch it took the almost 3 hrs to put them on
    and I asked for a oil change at the same time they put 20w30 & it takes 5w30 and it takes 5 litres and they put 9. 5 litres so I took it back so they could take 4. 5 out but theyonly took out 1
    After that I talked to a machanic they worked there for a week and he had to leave because in a week in 3 cars they drained the oil but dint put any in and it seized so they had to pay
    and if a woman would bring her car in they wouldn't change the oil and say they did
    and my x brought her car there for a safety and they told her she needed a rack and pinion and new brakes ect ect over 5000$ in repair and the car was only a year old and told her if she drove it like that she could lose stirring so she brought it at the dealer and it passed another brought his new truck for service they raised it on the hoist and the truck fell off on the drivers side

    Canadian Tire at Ajax On. One of the worst stores. called racist names, told to go back where I came from. Followed by security gaurd?

    Canadian Tire in Ajax. Disappointed by the staff. After being verbally abused and physically threathened a month ago by a racist customer in front of the employees, who just stood there, I hoped for a better experience today. Unfortunately the employees could not answer simple questions on any of the products they sold and seemed upset that you even asked. In addition, the security guard begun following me around even to the outside of the store. What a joke. One employee even mumbled an obscene comment. No accountability or responsibility at Canadian Tire, from the bottom up. Was not like this 20 years ago. Purchases matter only now, not customers. Sad state of affairs.

Last night I entered your store in Huntington hills to buy a dog leash, I was followed by the girl at the customer service desk and told if I didn't leave my back pack (the I use as my purse ) that I would have to leave. I have been in this location a number of times with the same back pack and this is not only the first time I have been asked to leave but it is the first time I have been greeted at all so from now on I will be shopping at Home Depot.

    worst service ever from Canadian Tire Whitehorse. customer Service desk does not serve rather give misinformation and the manager is just as bad and would not help in any way whatsoever in honoring a rain check for a product that is no longer available until maybe June. so wait five months if you want this product and if no longer available oh well pick something else. i will pick another store to shop at

    Haven't said hi in awhile.....just wanted to mention the great results CTC has had since I last said hi. Hard to believe that one person could take down a faker advocate site, but I guess the truth does that. Anyway, cheers.
