I find their washer fluid especially excellent.
Their Formula 1 synthetic oil? To die for!
I also find their selection of sump pumps second to none.
Oh, and let's not forget fertilizer and bagged topsoil.
Hmmm... I also like their barbeque tools - way cool.

I think that's it for now, but I'm sure more will come to me.

Don't forget about their Canadian Tire Money!
I think it's great to be able to go in, pay with all CT money, and get CT money back to go back and do the same again.
A real money saver!

I think Canadian Tire is awesome.
I like the "impulse items" at the cash - stuff you really don't need but figure you might one day, so better grab one. Like a spare flashlight, a roll of electrical tape and some bug juice. I also am kind of partial to extension cords - you can never have too many!

I can remember my Dad calling himself the "bungee cord king" when he'd load up the roof of the car with all kinds of camping gear and bungee it all down and then bungee a tarp over it. I definitely like the bungee cord selection.

Canadian Tire is awesome? You'd better look up the definition of "awesome", Jack.
It means fear mingled with reverence. Hardly a description I would use for Canadian Tire, or any other store for that matter.

I think it would be better to use "wicked-awesome", Jack. Or maybe "totally-wicked-cool", since they are harder to define once hyphenated. That way you can avoid people dwelling on semantics.

By the way, I found another I thing I like about Canadian Tire this weekend - exchangeable propane cylinders. I was having a little BBQ and ran out of propane - no biggie; just a quick drive over to my local store and a quick exchange and back. The burgers hardly got cold in between!

It's not semantics. It's called the English language. Check into it sometime instead of being a jackass all your life.

What I like about canadian tire...

PROFIT SHARING! Hellz ya. All full time, supervisors, and management get it.

But watch out for anything that has a scu number of 99-XXXX-X, these are dodgey little buggers and aren't regular stock.

ooooo, Staff discounts are also pretty nice as well as, the good ol "oops I work here I only have to pay last sale price"

I am sure I respect your opinion as much as can be no doubt about it.
I am glad that someone loves and enjoys what is doing, you are blessed,
and I admired you and your management/owner and I wish that other C.T.'s
were like yours because we like to see Canadian companies to be TOP
which will help Canada to be TOP in business because our cousins to the south are
very tough competitors, I rate them as TOP professionals.

The Zero Gravity chair buy far the most useful piece of crap I have purchased from crappy tire. Until they fall apart... damn those things are comfortable

I should have took it up to crappy tire when I was talking to the manager who said the same thing over and over last piece of crap purchase I made there.

Well...
I'll have to get back to you.

Canadian Tire has a very broad selection of items and often the best price, when on sale that is. When price and quality are the same I try to shop them over Wal-Mart, just becuase they are Canadian. Some Canadian tires are better than others, especially when it comes to return policy, auto service, or selection and stocking levels. If you live in Calgary, the Dalton Drive one is pretty good. The one on 64th is smaller, but they have a great attitiude. The new one in Beacon Hill...not so much. The one in Country hills won't accept returns from other Canadian Tires, so I am not going back there either.

On the whole, they get some unique items, the do try hard, and they try to compete against Auto Value and Wal-mart on price. Not always successfully. But sometimes. Also, for Marine and camping stuff, it is a good place to start your search. For automotive parts - good. Automotive service...better do a lot of research first. APA dot ca is a good place to start researching.

50% off on items priced 50% more than they're worth is hardly a bargain.

Skymaster 15X70 binoculars, discounted 40% to $89.99? Guess what--they're on sale all over at $85, regular price. No bargain here...

Quite true. Despite this, many people will go there because the store is "Canadian".
