Nice. I like that rebuttal. There's those emotions again - see what I mean?

I'm guessing your days here are numbered. Better get it all out quick.

Yeah - sorry - I forgot it's illegal to swear in Canada - especially in reference to the Almighty Canadian Tire (let us bow down to thee O Great Seller Of Inferior Product).

Did you get bullied at school for always going running to teacher by any chance?
"Miss, Miss, Johnny said 'poo' again Miss"
"Miss, Miss, I saw some big boys jaywalking in front of school yesterday"
"Miss, Miss our school bus driver was driving at 82 on an 80 road again Miss"

No, I don't believe swearing is illegal in Canada - you are mistaken on that one.

It is against the rules of the forum though. Check it out - little green letters at the top of every page - FORUM RULES. I copied and pasted the relevant one for you, though:

"Please DO NOT use abusive, vulgar, attacking and/or antagonistic messages." - it's rule number one, in fact.

How many forums do you use pal?

Unless you're on one of some mega-geek site where they're all goody goody two shoes or you are a god-fearing interfering busybody with nothing better to do then you'll be in for a shock.

Plus, I suggest you look up the following words in your dictionary (it's a big book with lots of words in it):

"Sarcasm" and "irony".

Oh sorry - am I antagonising you again?

"Miss!! Miss!!!..."

The rules state: Please DO NOT post anything PORNOGRAPHIC, EXCESSIVELY VIOLENT, ILLEGAL, ABUSIVE or HATEFUL.

Returns fraud is ILLEGAL. You're demonstrating your own intelligence level by suggesting that I want the administrators to call the police and have RogerRZ arrested. The post should be taken down because it breaks the rules and RogerRZ should be warned or banned.

And incidentally I am doing something - pointing it out to the administrators.

Take your own advice - let it go.

Number 1:
Although returns fraud is illegal, it is not illegal to state something that you have done. It doesn't matter whether a crime was commited or not. He is simply stating fact. It is not illegal to state fact. (or opinion for that matter)

Number 2:
How is pointing this out to the admins going to do anything. It's up to Canadian Tire to do something about returns fraud being committed in their stores, NOT the admins of this site.

Number 3:
Illegal posts would be the posting of warez and other illegal files, cracks, etc.

Please educate yourself before calling people out. You obviously don't understand the law. I, however, have done my research.

He still didn't answer my question. What would be the difference in returning the same item I purchased 18 days ago, versus returning an identical item I just bought with the 18 day old reciept. Also, how would you go about proving your case in front of a judge. But your honor, he said he did it....

Exactly - there is no real way of knowing.

Oh hang on...1jacques is currently in the process of calling every single crappy tire in the country and telling them that you may be about to do this.
Sorry mate - you're stuffed. ;)

Fair enough on point 1. Point 2, I just object to the fact that individuals are using this site to educate others on how to defraud a company. I don't really think that's its purpose and I have a right to state that just as you have a right to state your opinion.

Thanks for clarifying.

Actually, I'd argue I'm doing the antagonizing, not you. Not sure why you're asking me to look up sarcasm and irony. Perhaps you should do that first. I'm having trouble spotting the irony.

And yeah, I enjoy picking away at guys like you. I'm not the only one with "nothing better to do". After all, you to are a member of a forum whose sole purpose is to provide an outlet for its users to whine about one company. I happen to really like Canadian Tire and so I'm going to have some fun on here with you people.

I'm particularly enjoying your reaction.

You're using a receipt for one item that is actually written for a different one. That's fraud. You're correct that it would be hard to prove at CTC because they don't include serial numbers on their bills, but just because it can't be proven doesn't mean the act is not fraudulent.

If their price match policy matched their returns policy, one wouldn't have to resort to this. It's not like their sales are anything special. The last two Celestron products that have gone on sale (at like 50% off, or so they say), were still more expensive than what could be had at many other spots, at their regular price...

"Canadians hold Canadian Tire in higher esteem than any of these other retailers - for those of you that don't know what the word esteem means, Canadians have higher expectations of Canadian Tire. Why? Because they do things better than the rest of this countries retailers. When other retailers screw up, you don't get upset because you expect it. When CTC screws up, you are affected on an emotional level because of every Canadian's emotional attachment to this great icon - Canadian Tire is almost as Canadian as hockey, beer and Timbits."

Are you out of your f**king mind?
What does Canadian Tire do "better than the rest of this countries retailers" (sic)? It sure isn't customer service they do better. It sure isn't selling high quality products that they do better. What, exactly, is it they do better?
Every Canadian's emotional attachment to Canadian Tire?! Let me out of Canada right now if Canadians are so stupid and mentally immature to have any type of emotional connection to a corporation.
By the way...my "expectations of Canadian Tire" are as low as the Mariana Trench (the lowest spot in the earth's crust, just in case you had no clue). That's why I refuse to darken their threshold.

Good catch on the typo - I caught that too after it was posted. You are clearly more intelligent than the typical user of this site.

I'm guessing you're an American, too, and an intelligent American is a rare combination indeed.

Why are your expectations for the Mariana Trench so low? Has it let you down too?

You refuse to "darken their threshold"? You'll be back.

Yes, you'll be back.

Unregistered scum.

Is that a personal attack? I do believe it is.
Maybe the admins need to do something to you for breaking the rules.

Ha Ha!

This 1jacques fellow is obviously not as clever as he makes out.

Failing to get the Marianas Trench reference is yet another example of his inability to grasp irony or idiom.

I see he's been banned now.

Shame - I was looking forward to more of his CT arse-kissing and incompetence.

On a serious note - it just goes to show how deeply ingrained the love of CT is within Canadian culture.

I slagged off CT on national television and instantly became the subject of frothy mouthed rants from Canadians everywhere - how dare I complain about one of their great institutions!

Never mind that they sell poorly manufactured crap made in far-eastern sweat shops, their customer service sucks and they rip you off with their "funny money"; it's Canadian Tire and woe betide anyone who criticises them...
