OMG THIS JUST HAPPENED TO ME!

When I bought my Simoniz washer no one told me about the repair only BS. The stupid thing didn't turn on EXACTLY 90 days after I bought it. (After 90 days my warranty only covers labour and what not) Now I'm stuck having to bring it to their repair centers....

The worst part was CT had me lugging this giant thing around 3 times until telling me I would not get my money back and that repairs would be coming out of my pocket for parts. F*CK YOU CT!

sorry - where's this post with verifyable proof of defect and return rates? can't find it - just the unsubstantiated claims of someone saying they own a store.

and where was the post that claimed that the verifiable proof on defect rates was a lie?

    just curious ...

Great article. Great site. I would like to add to the over all view of Canadian Tire that everyone that has shopped their over the years realizes that the made in Canada content has gone way down. Example: They used to sell quality rope/line made rate here in Ontario by Bridgeline for a reasonable price and excellent quality but around 2006 they threw them out and went with the Chinese manufacture at the same time increasing the price considerably. This is one of many examples that CT has under taken. Their new Corporate identity is a glorified dollar store. Another contributor to the throw away society.

This post seems to sway towards suggesting Canadian Tire has killed manufacturing in Canada by sourcing other vendors?!

That post says out-right that Crappy Tire's "new Corporate identity is a glorified dollar store."

Because, if a Dollar Store sold pressure washers, they'd be as crappy as Simioniz.

And the tools would be as crappy as Jobmate.

And the outdoor and gardening equipment would be as crappy as Yard Works.

Crappy Tire wants to compete on price? So be it.

Manufacturing died in Canada and a lot in the US because of a global economy. Pretty hard to compete when other places in the world will gladly work for a lot less than 18.00 to 30.00 bucks an hour. And of course that dropped prices on most things at CTC, Walmart and Home Depot, et al. Since so many people bought these cheaper priced goods, the verdict was in---people WANTED cheaper pricing. Blame yourselves.

    Don't forget scams and cheating.

No need to work hard, unless scamming your customers is hard work - wait, you hire people to do that, LOL!

Yeah, great system you've invented - not just Simonz Scam any more!

Lol.....fakers have nothing relevant to add when faced with common knowledge or FACTS! That's why they're fakers.

    Re: Simoniz Scam

Ah, if only the Simoniz Scam were truly 'common knowledge', but consumers are still falling victim to it, as this site and others show.

But the consumers who post here are trying to get the word out!

And luckily, this is the most-read consumer thread on this site.

Remember, "Friends Don't Let Friends Do Business With Crappy Tire!"
