You seem to be getting dumber with each senseless post.

You appear to have no idea what an advocate even is, and you think this is an e-commerce site.

You think only your opinion counts, when you've been proven wrong routinely.

You don't seem to have clued in yet that you are effectively donating to this site each time you post - something you seem to be opposed to.

Stupider than the average CT moron, methinks.

Nope, sorry, do not pass go. I'm not out a cent. What other services would you be offering, you know, with wanting my credit card information and address and such?
What's the real agenda on here? Consumers you decide.

that's ok ct dealer, triangle of crap merchant. Attack the consumer site all you want. It's only a matter of time before the W and the T squeezes you out of the market, like they take a shit. Your life expectancy just got shorter. If anything, you'd make a funny darwinian case study for my next lecture 'building and maintaining momentum in a crowded market'. Like I said before, far better and smarter ways to make money than fronting the triangle of crap. By the way, are you really going to trust the same corporation/ board to know how to fend off a shit kicking, the same family friendly guys which cost you dealers hundreds of millions in 2 ill conceived us expansion plans lol. So go ahead and brag more about your 10K a week profit or your lazy golfing afternoons...while you still can.

You know, when Walmart came North, professional and amateur retail analysts alike were all claiming that no retailer would survive. That was 1994. 17 year later, bigger, more stores, massive revenue growth, over triple the stock price...

    Fast Forward to 2011
Still adding stores, still growing, still competing head to head with Walmart and everyone else.
Incidentally, you are aware that Targets primary business is apparel?
Also you are aware that Target really won't be an incremental retailer as they are taking over existing Zellers locations. So much of the lost revenue with Zellers out, will go to Target. So really the retail landscape isn't getting much more crowded.... it's more or less just changing who's logo is over the front door.

You know, I don't think i'm ready to sell my franchise yet, I might stick it out for a few more million

    hahahaha nice argument.......loser. FAIL

Last week I bought an iron from walmart. 90 days to bring it back for a full refund if its defective, confirmed at Customer Service.

I checked the CT site for the same iron. Guess what? “Repair Only”!

    Liar liar canadian tire.

More bullshit from the triangle of crap merchant dealer lawyer cable puller. Let's see through your lies yet again. So target's mostly an apparel store you say eh? Let's have a looksy. They have 14 departments and 5 of them are apparel...the rest you're competing on!

Target.com - Furniture, Patio, Baby, Toys, Electronics, Video Games

Oh and here's another thing, we all know things in retail never stay static. Who knows, maybe down the road Walmart, Target or others may expand their stores to offer more automotive products.

You think your margins are still safe with Target taking over Zellers? LOL hilarious! I can say it this way. Not only is a professional race driver going to be behind the wheel, in a newly redesigned vehicle that'll do things Zellers couldn't, like shift out of neutral, they'll be going after their number 1 competition. Which isn't CT by the way. For all your bragging of how long you've existed and survived Walmart, your store isn't even in the top 10 list of Canadian Retailers, it's not even in the top 20. In fact it's dropping year after year....

Didn't the Americans kick your sorry ass's out of the USA a while ago? Didn't a bunch of dealers go bankrupt lol. Now that the giant boot is coming up here what are you going to do? That's ok, you can always hide behind the corporation, they'll protect you with their big bad mega mega lawyers...like they did for the other dealers in 20 - 30 years ago ha ha ha.

I'm going to ct and looking at a small appliance today.

Re: Stupid return policy to hide employee theft?

Alright, a whole host of bullshit to respond to. loving it

    1) walmart iron vs. canadian tire iron warranty. I call bullshit. every iron i checked on the website states 1 year exchange warranty. please provide product number/description so i may see what you have found.

    2) Canadian Tire & Americans. 30 years ago. 3 decades a failed business decisions and this is how you analyze a companies performance? LOL you are a very smart business man. Hey by the way, you better not drive a Ford, or even think about a new Ford. They built a dud called the Edsel many many moons ago. This must be a reflection of a company, nobody learns after 30 years. No CT dealers went broke as a result of this. and yes struggling ct dealers are potentially afforded some support by the corporation. This is called .....business. Hey lets let our people fail, that's a good business idea. do you really know that little about business?

    3) Target & Canadian Tire do not overlap very much. Let's look at CT's business vs. Targets
Tools - CT yes - target no
Patio & bbq Ct yes - target yes < ---- legitimate competition
Sports CT yes - Target no
Automotive CT yes - target no
plumbing, electrical ct yes - target no
housewares - ct yes - target no
plants and gardening - ct yes - target no

note: by your own admission, your words, canadian tire is not targets main competition. CORRECT - because the businesses and lines are not very overlapping. so why did you even bring it up as target is going to take out ct and then say they aren't focused on ct as the main competitor? you just talked out of your own accusation. well done mam.

As far as things not staying static in retail, you are again CORRECT. So pay attention, with the ability to change, that doesn't just mean target or walmart. It also means.....wait for it..... Canadian Tire can evolve. In fact hey look, Canadian Tire grocery in the aisles? Say what? You mean you can now get bread and cereal 5 aisles over from your pots and pans and pressure washers ahhahahhahahahha and the reports and numbers are in, successful retail expansion.

Incidentally what is this Top Ten Retailer list you speak of? I have never seen a report of Top 10 retailers. Who released it? What is it measuring?
