I don't support their fraudulant actions (or yours) and I don't believe them to be good representatives of Canadian Tire. Does 1% make everyone a fraud? a thief? No. does that make me a fraud? No

This little game would be like me finding anyone in your company or in your industry that had done something illegal and saying you must be just like them. Seriously you're playing like you're in grade school.
What a hypocrite you are!!! It's ok for you to treat all your customers like frauds and thieves. Yeah, everybody in the store stole something already, so you can take their private ID information during returns and exchanges, and deny their returns!

But can't do the same with CT wannabe millionaires! No! How dare we find and link the news reports of all those Canadian Tire dealers found guilty of fraud and fined, and lump them together with you. How dare we disprove your holier-than-thou lies over and over again. Hey it's out there in the public, anyone can find it.

I'm a consumer advocate and believe in supporting good stores. You're not one of them as I don't advocate fraud on the consumer.
You have only yourselves to blame for your poor reputation.

It's not the customers fault that you've been caught on hidden camera fraudulently over billing car repairs for work that was never done or needed.

Not the customers fault that CT goons chased somebody out of the store causing his death.

Not the customers fault you sell crap that doesn't work and won't let the customer get a return or exchange.

Not the customers fault that you won't honor lifetime warranties on the products you've sold to them.

Wow you're a little wound up today !

I'll restate my point a million times over. just because something happens at one store, or three times or involves two dealers does not mean that's a reflection of this company from coast to coast at every store. The reputation you speak is your opinion of our reputation. We don't please everybody, I wish we did but that would be impossible!! For those who hate us, and hate us as much as you do, it's unfortunate, but it's business.
For the millions of customers that like us, love us or tolerate us...fantastic we are happy to help as best we can.

Just don't think for even a New York minute that you represent the majority of this country. You are not a consumer advocate, you are a CT Hater.

You mean a faker consumer advocate. A liar and cheat. Irrelevant, with anger management issues. Supports fraud and apparently not to good at math. No, sorry.....most people aren't like you and never will be....that's why you're a faker.

Why so angry? Somebody park their car in your spot and went to Walmart? You losing more market share?

    I'm a consumer advocate not a faker.

I'm not a CT Hater. I'm a smart shopper who wants good selection, good prices and good store policies.

Lying, cheating and fraud? Oh like what you did on the CTV hidden camera reports?

A prime reason why I've stopped shopping at Crappy Tires.

    Something to keep in mind:

    Jobmate tools really do suck.

    Ditto for Yard Works.

The are built cheaply to be sold cheaply, but Crappy Tire won't even stand behind their own store brands.

It's important not to get distracted.

Distracted from what? The crazed accusations of people on this site?

That damn math again. I think most people realize that a $29.00 Jobmate drill won't have nearly the power and
Performance of a $200.00 Dewalt. We serve all customers, including those that only need a drill to fix small household items once in a blue moon. Same old, Same old.....you get what you pay for. Do your research, ask some questions and don't think you'll be building a house with Jobmate tools....LOL

Well, distracted from the fact that Crappy Tire procures and sells products that they know are crap, then refuses to stand behind them.

What people may not realize, is that a retailer is responsible for providing a product that performs as advertised.

If the packaging says it has certain properties (20 Amp drill, or 5 HP or whatever), then the drill has to meet that spec., and if it doesn't, the customer can bring it back for a refund.

Or, if the customer asks for a tool to perform a certain job (like put screws into a deck), and the store sells them a drill that can't do that, then the customer can bring it back for a refund.

And, products have to be reasonably durable. If drills normally last a year, and the Jobmate drill dies after a month or 2, same thing - the customer can bring it back for a refund.

This is all under the Sale of Goods act, and the implied warranties. The Consumer Protection Act applies, too.

I think there are some threads on this site that get into details.

    Re: Jobmate

And if the customer changed their mind after using it, then they can't bring it back

And if the customer completed their job, and doesn't think they will ever need it again, then they can't bring it back

And if the customer dropped it off their roof and broke it, that's not defective, and you can't bring it back

Faker advocate may want to talk with a bit more knowledge under their belt next time.

Too bad you think all customers are like that. More reminders not to shop at Crappy Tires.

Glad I found this site as things sure have changed in a few years. I need a pressure washer to get the leaves and gunk off the roof and a few more things for the yard. I sure won't be purchasing it from you guys.

I actually want to buy something that works and not get hassled and accused of something else when it doesn't.
