I have to laugh at all this nonesense... I admitted freely, after registering in first , not anonymously like some of the lily livered SOB's that have responded so far in pure criticsm, that I was returning warrantied articles in any manner which was open to me when the corporate bums refused to offer simple customer service, and suggested others who were frustrated with that lack of service could do the same without much fear of prosecution. The responders who simply (and what can you expect from the simple minded???) offer petty criticsm would do well to remember the catch phrase "if you are NOT part of the solution, then you are part of the problem"! I have found my solution...AMEN!!!!!!

hi grampa b - welcome aboard

its fun reading someone who tells it like it really is

for so long they havent been able to prove that any frauds were even being discussed

i greatly enjoy watching the impotent fury of the crappy tire people

they think even routine transactions are frauds ... even if its within their own policies

they can hiss and stamp their feet all they want but it doesnt change anything

hilarious to watch!

Re: Jobmate drill and pressure washer

Just the same old 'how businesses commit fraud' site, huh?

Looking for some new ideas on how to cheat customers, huh?

Anyway, they all say deception is necessary for a crime of fraud. But none of them say that deception, by itself, is 'fraud'.

Someone asks, 'How are you today'. I say, "Fine thanks", but I actually feel terrible. Deception? Yes. Fraud? No.

A customer asks, 'Does this cedar have a 1-year return policy?' Crappy People say, "Yes it does", but it really doesn't. Deception? Yes! Fraud? Also yes!

It's really very simple, if you think about it for a second, or do some research on reputable sites.

So:

1 - Still no examples of anybody being convicted of "fraud" for using a receipt from a new item to return an old, unopened item. Not from your store (assuming you have one). None from any store at all!

2 - Do any of your definitions say "deception is fraud"? Nope! So, still no evidence to support your claim that any deception is 'automatically' a crime of fraud.

3 - Still no evidence that, "If I catch you even once trying to deceive, the police do come and the conviction rate is 100%".

4 - Not even a single example of anybody being convicted for using a receipt from a new item to return an old, open and defective item (such as the infamous Grampa B).

Seems you don't have anything to back up your claims at all, LOL!

Well, don't sweat it. Everyone here already knows you're full of crap.

That's why you have to resort to sophmoric taunts about non-existent 'mental illness' and 'booze'.

Come back when you've got something relevant to say on the topic of Jobmate drills and pressure washers.

So many examples of fraud, I guess you just aren't looking

Refund Scam – Refund Fraud

Kinda explains it all, so that faker advocate is exposed as the low life he really is. But there are so many more.
Must be the booze clouding his judgement. Perhaps if you ask litigator wife, she can explain it to you.....but I'm guessing there is no litigator wife.....goes hand in hand with the no relevance, no morals and no standing.

Tell it to the judge, no honest person cares. You admitted to fraudulently returning an item, and it doesn't matter if you want to justify it in your own mind....it's wrong, you know it and you're nothing more than a petty thief. No one really cares about the opinions of thieves unless it's faker advocate.....and I bet you are one and the same....at the very least, you wear the same hat. Luckily, the vast majority is not like you, and don't think like you.....and that's why you're a faker!

Re: Jobmate drill and pressure washer

It's a shame when the customer has to resort to some methods which others deem fraudulent when the initial "fraud" has been committed by those corporations that refuse to step up and amend their policies to clear an issue such as refunds without a receipt in this day and age of relitively easy data storage and retrieval!!! Furthermore, it's ridiculous that even warrantied items that are corporate specific such as the "Jobmate" and "Mastercraft" brand which often have a manufactured date or code on them are refused by this particular chain merchandiser for either warranty replacement or repair. Where the hell do they think the customer procured the damn junk???!!! I am done with this topic, let the chips fall where they may, I have my way of dealing with these corporate thieves, and so be it!!!

You've decided to become a thief because of a corporation's policy's? Why have policies at all? I mean, to justify your theft, you can just blame someone else. Luckily, most people aren't like you, don't see it the way you do, and quite simply, are honest.
Keep on believing you add something relevant to these posts, we all see you for the loser you are.

LOL. This coming from a company that was busted for privacy laws and sued under the consume protection act!!! Hilarious! Tell me, the employee SIN numbers you were giving out as receipts, how many identity thieves were helped by you? I wonder, how many college students are starting university and going hungry because their credit is ruined or how many single parents can't pay rent because somebody else spent their money? Just sayin with all this fraud going on.

I won't even go into your notorious garage reputation that's made it on the news again. Is fraud not happening when you pad the customers bill with more hours than worked, or replace perfectly working parts? What do you call it?

Or what about selling crap that breaks and charging for replacement parts that's still under warranty? Isn't that fraud? I see that CT and Simoniz share the same 1800 customer service number. Contact Us

So here, we go again, you treating all customers like thieves and blaming them for your retail losses.

Thieves kinda like those people who are renovating and live a bit of a drive away and want to make one trip. So they buy extra items like paint brushes and garbage bags. Everywhere else they can return those unopened extras without hassle.

But at CT, that customer goes over some imaginary number of returns, gets denied the returns, and gets suspected of being a thief, and called a thief, ain't that right!?! Never mind that they have a receipt and maybe payed for it with their debit or credit card, further proof that they're not thieves.

But oh well, it's your opinion that customers are thieves and it shows with a link like that. More indicative of career criminals than customers. Is that why you have those atrocious policies, to take from them "thieves"? After all it does go towards your profit!

Nobody said there weren't lots of types of fraud.

Only that there's still not evidence to support the prior claims of the CT Liar.

Interesting. Kind of a "How to Defraud Crappy Tire 101" course, LOL!

- Steal goods and return them.
- Purchase with counterfeit money or "tenders" and return them.
- "Rent" by purchasing with the intent of returning later by falsely claiming it's defective.
- Return using a falsified or altered receipt.

But, hey! Nothing on there to back up the CT Liar's prior claims! Ha-ha!

So:

1 - Still no examples of anybody being convicted of "fraud" for using a receipt from a new item to return an old, unopened item. Not from your store (assuming you have one). None from any store at all!

2 - Still no reputable sournces (or any sources at all!) that say "any deception is fraud".

3 - Still no evidence that, "If I catch you even once trying to deceive, the police do come and the conviction rate is 100%".

4 - Still not even a single example of anybody being convicted for using a receipt from a new item to return an old, open and defective item (such as the infamous Grampa B).

You admitted to fraudulently returning an item, and it doesn't matter if you want to justify it in your own mind....it's wrong, you know it and you're nothing more than a petty thief.

Um, there's a couple of problems here.

First of all, Mr. grampa B never admitting that his plan was "fraudulant". So, that's another CT Lie.

Secondly, his plan isn't a crime of 'fraud', because he will only get what he's already entitled to: a working product. So, no fraud.

Use deception to get more than you are entitled to? Fraud.

Steal the item and try to return it? Fraud.
Buy it from another store for less, and return it at a different store for more? Fraud.
Buy the item with counterfeit money and return it? Fraud.
Buy a cheaper item, modify the receipt to look like it cost more, and return it? Fraud.

But, use deception to get what you are already entitled to? Not fraud - sorry.

That's why nobody has been able to find a reputable source that will say its a 'fraud' for a customer to return a genuinely defective item that they purchased, using a receipt from a newer item the customer also purchased.

And, that's why nobody can find a record of a conviction for doing so at Crappy Tire (or even at any other store).

This has been discussed over and over, for a long time, and there's still no backup for those CT claims.

Sorry, Crappy Tire Liars!

Crappy Tire are sure quick on the draw to accuse and label ordinary folk of fraud and thievery for returns. But strangely silent when it comes to their own fishy car garages services and return policies which contravene CPA and SOGA. LOL. Hilarious.

It's clearly fraud. Just like you don't get to choose your own return policies, you also don't get to choose which laws apply to you or not. I'm sure litigator wife can explain it to you. Not that it matters what you think, you've been exposed for the wacko faker advocate you are long before this. Luckily, most people aren't like you and never will be.

Re: Jobmate drill and pressure washer

It's clearly fraud.

Really? It's 'clearly fraud'?

Based on what? Your personal preference?

What's clear is, it can't be 'fraud' if you are simply getting what you are already entitled to.

OK, where's that definition that says a customer who's entitled to an exchange is committing "fraud" by returing a recently purchased, defective item with a receipt from an identical item they also purchased?

Still waiting!

(But it's really just soooo fascinating to read all the other examples of genuine fraud!)

So:

1 - Still no examples of anybody being convicted of "fraud" for using a receipt from a new item to return an old, unopened item. Not from your store (assuming you have one). None from any store at all!

2 - Still no reputable sources (or any sources at all!) that say "any deception is fraud".

Fraud? Really? Like store 168 who lied to customers about the refund and exchange policy for the trees and then reneged on it when they returned a bad one?

What's that? No proof again? No convictions of the receipt fraud you've been blabbing about? Then have a nice big frothy cup of STFU.

Come back when you've got something relevant to say on the topic of Jobmate tools otherwise have another cup of STFU.

Sorry, don't buy your arguement... in order for a theft to occur, someone has to steal something without paying for it, right??!! Don't bother agreeing, it's just NOT in you to do so. Anyway, if I agreed with you , we'd BOTH be wrong!! LOL!! I choose to simply use a "method" of return that is and has been acceptable to both myself and CTC apparently, for an article that I formerly bought and paid for... end of story. I really don't care if it's relevant to you or not, but for those people without alternatives to return defective goods (in itself somewhat of a fraud I'd say), this "method" has worked fine for me and CTC in the past, and continues to work, so F**K off with your retorts and find something more positive to do with your sorry life a**hole. Just seeing you as unregistered here tells me a LOT!!! Kind of like comitting a fraudulent reply.

Hey grampa,

crappys people goes on these stupid tirades and have nothing to back it up. However, there is plenty of wrong CT dealers have done that's captured in the news. Like doctoring receipts for fraudulent activities, stuff crappys is accusing customers of.

In that case, the CT Owner was found guilty and fined for tax evasion! LOL. Hilarious. Oh the irony!!! What's that story about throwing stones...or what is it calling something black...either way, crappy's suck and that's why I don't go there.

Re: Jobmate drill and pressure washer

boy, losts of sources of information on different types of fraud

both the kinds that the public can pull on a store, or a store can pull on its customers

one thing that just never seems to come up, though

a customer buying something they intend to keep, then end up returning

it just never comes up on the list of things that are 'frauds'

i guess because its not actually a fraud - just something the crappy people want us to do

the old 'you bought it, you own it now' philosophy

ususally stores don't accuse customers of a crime, when all they want is a working product!!!

Posting a name of Gramma B hardly makes you any less anonymous then the rest of us on here.

To the poster of the fraud article. Still not catching your point?! One dealer out of 480 active dealers gets caught being dirty (and yes what he did is clearly illegal and he should be punished - and was) and you play it WAAAAAAAAY out of context again as if that's how every one of us operates. This is your precisely how you operate day in day out on here. One thing happens, you assume it's the whole chain. You're an idiot for having such limited view. You see one or two of something and paint everyone and everything with the same brush. Silly silly fool. Open your eyes. Open your views.
