People shop at CT because they assume CT has the same policies they used to have. The ones all the other stores still have.

People don't know how bad the policies are. They don't know because CT hides them.

It took a long time, but now even the CT reps have started admitting just how bad their store policies really are.

Once people find out about these terrible policies, they get mad and stop shopping there. You can read stories about it every day on web sites and blogs.

So, please. Help your fellow Canadian consumers.

Help get the word out about the lousy policies, and all the other great stores that have good policies, respect their customers, and abide by the law.

Not sure if you've seen the other 600 suck.com sites and the affiliates, but you may want to get a grip on reality. The world has changed, and losers like you are out. Work hard and get ahead now rule.

thanks for 'donating' by driving up site hits - finance the site owners

customers work hard - all the more reason not to have policies to steal from them

http://www.homedepot.ca/wcsstore/HomeDepotCanada/pdf/en_CA/MAJOR_APPLIANCE_DELIVERY.pdf

here's a link to Home Depot Canada's information regarding home appliances. It specifically states that after 48 hours any defect becomes a manufacturers warranty issue.

Hey, check it out!

The CTers are quoting the site of a competitor who does NOT instantly revert to the manufacturers warrany!

Does this mean that CT is going to cave in, and match their return policy?

Because, that would be 48 more hours then you get with CT!

"LOL hilarious!"

Hey do you think they'll finally give up on lie #3?

"All other retailers have the “same damn” policy (i.e., no refund for defective items) as Canadian Tire."

Nah, probably they'll come here and claim that what they said isn't what they meant to say. Again.

Yep, difference in policies do vary from retailer to retailer....many different ones. That link was probably posted to debunk your long running lie that it is ILLEGAL to not refund for a defect (as opposed to warranty or repair).
Thanks for FINALLY admitting your lie.

You did read the home depot sucks link I provided right?
You read Dick Smythe's "big orange" poor service story via Ellen Roseman right?
You have been following along these many months and aren't confused with all your faker advocate posts right?

See....when you offer nothing of value and spew bull...you get called on it every time.
You lose, loser, you lose.

Huh? what lie, and what admission? you're just making up crap. again.

dude, its important not to lose perspective

the ct'er who post here have never admitted to anything that wasn't already on ct's own web site.

even that was a big friggin' deal - the had to have their noses rubbed in it first

as we've all seen, they post lie after lie, but never admit to any of it - just tell more lies about others

so why waste your time arguing with an 8 year old mentality

just remember that your fellow consumers are the only ones who need to be convinced

and only convinced enough that they start checking for themselves

then, the jig is up

that's the only power the ct'ers have - to convince us to not check for ourselves

that liar guy admitted that ct won't give a refund for a gas-powered pressure washer, and the return policy isn't on the web site - just the warranty information.

oh, wait - youre right

he didn't really admit anything - he just got mad and stormed off in a huff

In the end I think he blamed CT for sending him old information.

I guess it was left over from the days when CT had decent return policies, LOL.

Or they thought he was just another customer so its ok to lie to him. That goes on all the time on here.

Absolutely....and when they check it out for themselves, they will find all those other sucks.com sites.
They won't find anything that says CTC's return policy is illegal or in any way information to give you any credibility.
The jig IS up....you still lose, loser, you still lose.

Hey, maybe Home Hardware sucks almost as much as Canadian Tire. Probably less, though.

Not sure if they are a "major Canadian Retailer", though.

Worth checking out.

We’ve been down this road before. In February, I think.

If the CT Reps don’t like the web sites that say a consumer is entitled to a refund for a defective item, then the Reps should contact those sites, and present their “proof”.

A list of sites is provided for their convenience, here:

Once those sites are updated, we can remove them from the list.

Until then, it’s a waste of time for CT Reps to debate these issue with consumers here. We’ve learned not to trust what the CT Reps claim. We know that CT has a financial stake in this.

In the meantime, we consumers can do our own research, and make up our own minds.

So, let us know when those sites are updated!

Regards,

Canadian Consumers

You mean the sites that don't offer any proof?....just opinions? Ummmm...they don't count for credibility. You just need one credible source that says CTC's return policy is illegal...just ONE....why do you think it is so hard? Not that you are an intelligent 2 or 3 posters....but it's a simple question.

Hey, thanks for the update, CT Defenders!

Because, one of the things that the average Canadian Consumer wouldn’t want to fall behind on, is the opinions of the self-appointed CT Defenders!

And make no mistake, the very first place a typical Canadian would go to ‘take the pulse’ of CT defender’s opinions on consumer protection is CanadianTireSucks.Net.

Absolutely, if the CT defender have made the slightest change in their opinions of the law, the policies of their own store, the policies of other stores, or of the consumers who post here, then the Canadian Consumer wants to be informed right away!

However, we can’t help but notice that, well, your opinions haven’t changed much over time.

(Ok, LiarGuy did finally admit that maybe he was wrong about refunds on gas pressure washers. Oh, and at least 1 CT defender did cave in and admit that CT’s own web site lists at least 1 product that has no warranty. But that’s pretty much it.)

So, what you’ve ended up posting (and we’ve been diligently reading) is really just the same opinions, being re-posted time and again.

For example, we received the following update just yesterday:

- The CT Defenders are unconvinced by the dozen or so web sites that all say customers are entitled to a refund for a defective product.
- The CT Defenders are thoroughly convinced that the one or two site they dug up completely disprove all the others.
- The CT Defenders think that consumers who post here are unintelligent losers and “faker advocates” (whatever that might mean).

But we can’t help but notice that these are the same opinons that have been re-posted regularly for months.

While the long-term stability of the CT defenders opinons are admirable, it does seem to be a large investment in time and effort on your part to write. And, of course, we feel a strong duty to read them, just in case something will be different this time.

It just seems like a lot of human effort, with very little gain.

Therefore, with only the best interests of our beloved CT Defenders in mind, the Canadian Consumers have the following suggestion:

How about just letting us know if your opinion changes?

We will, of course, be continuously monitoring this web site, scanning carefully for any update to your opinions, so any changes you may post will be quickly spotted.

In the meantime, you will save yourself the time and effort required to keep writing the same opinions, over and over and over.

Just something to consider.

Signed,

Your gang of loyal Canadian Consumer Followers.

Bottom line for me: don't shop at CT because they have crappy products with the crappiest return policies out there.

Can i get a refund? Maybe, maybe not. Why take a chance? Shop somewhere else - anywhere else - and don't support these crappy practices.

Is Home Hardware just as bad? I'll ask around, and decide if I want to stop shopping there, too. I'll let people know.

Is there policy illegal? I don't care. Either way, they suck.
