Lately we are hearing more and more cases where Crappy Tire owners and employees have been convicted of violating various laws, such as committing thefts and frauds, and violating various privacy laws.

This is both ironic and hypocritical, given the attempts by the Crappy People to portray their customers as "scammers", "thieves" and "robbers".

Here is one that has been drawing a lot of attention is Order P05-01, against Store #353 in Kelowna (i.e., Keith Gostlin of K.E. Gostlin Enterprises Limited):

http://www.oipc.bc.ca/PIPAOrders/2005/OrderP05-01.pdf

The Crappy People like to call this a ‘victory’ for the Crappy Tire store that was investigated, since it was permitted to collect a customer’s name, address and telephone number before processing a return.

What the Crappy People always forget to mention, is that the store also asked for her date of birth, which the Commissioner confirmed was not necessary information for providing a refund. Similarly, it was also confirmed that a driver’s license number is not necessary, and should not be collected, although photo ID could be required to verify identity (although it must not be collected).

The Crappy People also fail to mention that the Crappy Tires store was refusing refunds unless the customer agreed to allow personal information to be collected for the purpose of “satisfaction surveys”, and this was found to not be necessary. Crappy Tire “cannot refuse to proceed with a refund transaction if the individual declines to give personal information for the purpose of being contacted by telephone”.

The Commissioner also discovered that Crappy Tire was retaining customer’s personal information indefinitely, and “the organization is required to destroy personal information” within a reasonable time.

Finally, regarding the printed notices (the ones Crappy Tire makes such a big deal about) were inadequate and needed to “be clarified”.

Hardly a glowing review, LOL!

These are so easy to find!

Retail Company Fined $60,000 After Worker Injured

Paul S. Pollock Enterprises Ltd., carrying on business as Canadian Tire Store #420 in Kitchener, Ontario, was fined $60,000 on March 7, 2011, for a violation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act that caused a worker to be injured.

What a law-abiding bunch!

Fine examples of good citizenship!

(But by 'fine', I mean $60,000!)

Those ones cover Canada and The US - but the point remains the same
No company is perfect. It can't be, it won't be. We could sit and play this game with every company from Walmart to Canadian Tire to Walgreens to Shoppers Drug Mart.

Your arguments and complaints on this site have become so ridiculous that you've lost the point! You're no longer a consumer advocate, you're just a bunch of people trying to say one company (Canadian Tire) is so much worse on every level then every other retailer. Yet look at what's going on elsewhere. the same stuff.

Don't even bother with your "How many countries, how big are they compared to you BS STFU" - you'll just miss the point. the point is, if humans are involved, there will be errors, there will be theft, there will be accidents. If you have 100 people or 100,000 people, sh*t will happen.

And i haven't even bothered looking for theft from Walmart LOL

Do you wish to keep playing this game?

Well, there we have it - the lame excuses from the CT Defenders have begun.

No other Canadian company adopts Crappy Tire's holier-than-thou attitude, accusing anyone who isn't 100% honest at all times of being a "fraudster" and a "robber".

Falsely accusing innocent customers who just want a working product, or a simple refund of being "scammers" and "faudsters".

But the true picture is emering.

A picture of a company that is rife with corruption, from the CEOs who import illegal CFCs, to the owners who will cheat on their store's taxes, and right down to the dishonest employees, who will refuse reasonable returns, then turn around and pocket their employer's money.

The hypocrisy runs long and deep, fellow consumers.

And what do the Crappy People have to say for themselves?

"Nobody's perfect" and "Other companies do it, too."

Simply pathetic.

Ummmm? Accusing those that aren't 100% honest? Wow....even for a faker advocate that's kind of embarrassing. I guess with HIS moral demeanor, less than 100% is ok. He might want to check with the pastor and church group though. They might disagree...just like the majority of this civilized country. Wow....I'm kind of speechless at the stupidity.

Looks like faker advocate has hit overdrive in hopelessness. Post anything and everything to cloud judgment.

It's simple really, donate at the button at the top. Paypal in US dollars. He hates being exposed, but so simple for the ordinary folk to see pass his opinions.

This is interesting: "Canadian Tire had been influenced to change suppliers by means of a bribe offered to the head of its automotive division".

It was a while agao, but I was unaware that Crappy Executives have been caught accepting bribes.

And yet the Crappy People claim to be all tough-on-crime, saying "If I catch you even once trying to deceive, the police do come and the conviction rate is 100%".

I guess their sense of ethics depends on which side of the counter you are standing on.

The Angry CT Guy makes less sense all the time.

Maybe the people on this thread can figure out what he's ranting about today:
