After getting stung on a Simonize pressure washer that failed during the warranty, then failed just outside of the warranty (now sitting forlornly in my car port) I am told that CT bought the name for Canada and it's sold only by CT.
It was cheap and I guess the name of the crapshoot is 1. you may get lucky and get one that works o.k. for a while or 2. chances are it works for the introductory period, then you shuffle off to the warranty repair depot until the warranty runs out then, when it's not worth fixing throw it on the heap.
Lesson learned..............again! Those 1/2 off or Save 60% ads look soooooooooooooooo enticing!

Yes, Crappy Tire is the only store that will sell the crappy Simoniz pressure washers.

See https://www.canadiantiresucks.net/personal-stories/68-simoniz-scam.html for details.

Crappy Tire also made an arrangement with Simonz that they call a "repair only warranty", for many of these models.

With a "repair only" model, Crappy Tire agreed that Simoniz is not obligated to give credit to the Crappy Tire stores when a unit is defective or the customer is unsatisfied with it. So, the stores will lose money if they give a customer a refund or exchange on any of the 'repair only' Simoniz pressure washers.

That's why the store will tell the customer "no refund, no exchange", and will only help the customer get it repaired.

Note that many reputable sources say that the 'Sale of Goods Act' and the 'Consumer Protection Act' require the retailer to give the customer a refund for a defective product. Or, the customer may settle for an exchange.
defective product.

See https://www.canadiantiresucks.net/general-canadian-tire-complaints-chat/707-sale-goods-act.html and https://www.canadiantiresucks.net/g...r-only-warranty-no-refund-no-exchange-37.html for more information.

The Crappy Tire people are fond of saying, "Against the law is Illegal", so you can draw your own conclusions about the legality of the 'repair only warranty'.

Or you could call the Ministry of Consumer affairs. They will give you the truth. Best to go to the government agency that oversees the legality of the CPA or SOGA rather than the opinion of a faker advocate on this site.
Faker advocates don't like it when you go to the ministry, it wrecks their theory!

As you can already tell from all those links to court cases, fines etc...that they don't like it when the law is on the side of the consumer.

If it's broken, get your money back.

After all, denying those returns goes towards their profit. They're fattening up now as it's going to be a wicked couple of years.
