Carol W.: Crass Commercialism: On the way home for Christmas one year, the retread tire you sold my husband blew apart. You did nothing. We took our tire business elsewhere as we no longer trust CTC for tires.

Bad B.: Canadian tire lost my tire business, due to their Incompetence.Ordered 4 goodyear Nordics for my wife on november 30,told they would be in on Dec 15.Go down on the 16th to get them put on and they did not have them, was told and employee from another store would bring them in maybe in 2 days, after his shift.Really!!I coulda drove to that store myself.Instead I went down the road to OK Tire who were able to put a good set of snow tires on my wifes Journey imediattly(cost of lost sale 1800$ for new tires and aftermarket rims as well as future purchases planned for 4 265/35/18 performance tires for my Mustang GT,Plus I never did get the call from the store owner as Informed by custumer service would happen

Bad B.: I have spoken to custumer service they have my number already, what could they possibly do to rectify after the fact ,As I said OK Tire now has that business covered for me

Posted on one of the very repetitive 'ice truck' threads:

Karen M.N.: oh buy the way what happened to making adjustments on tires when you purchase 4 new and buy extended warranty, no they just tell you a lie and say sorry car must have not been lined up, but who buys 4 new tires and dont get it lined up they did it and say they have no record, and ps they also entered the incorrect mileage of our car as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another set of wheels nearly falling off - all too common at CT:

https://www.canadiantiresucks.net/g...ever-go-canadian-tire-again-46.html#post11360

Susan B.G.: I hate to do this, but I think everyone should know how dangerous your Winnipeg, MB Regent Ave. service is. My elderly parents had the worst experience, not only with their service, but the mangers responses were unbelievable. To make a long story short, my parents blew a tire, took it in, bought two more tires and had them installed (so they thought) They didn't put the spare back, just tossed it in the trunk, no big deal. Asked them to come back the next day, they would do that (its stow and go, not an easy thing for a 74 year old to be doing on his own). Great. No issues there, things happen. My father drove away. Half way home (its a total of a 10 min. drive) he heard a noise. Again, to summarize what happened, they hadn't tightened the 3 bolts they put on and didn't replace the ones they took off! The wheels were falling off! My father tightened the bolts that were on and cranked them 10 times each! After talking to the store manger, he was told they did everything. No compensation was required. My dad didn't even really want any money back, just something to be done. My father told the store manager that if they were in an accident, they would have been sued, in which the manger replied "Your right" and that was that. NEVER EVER GO THERE FOR ANYTHING!!!!! Luckily no one was hurt. Way to go Canadian TIRE (you would at least think they could do tires as it is in their name after all)

More:

Karen M.N.: oh well folks just wanted to let u all know even after filing a complaint on facebook canadian tire still are remaining the same and not going to do anything concerning my tires and the exteneded warranty they say they still remain the same with their decision, make sure you dont buy tires at ct, check elseware where honest people honor the warranty, i think i should go more public with this and i am going to send a letter to the editor in the cape bretong post people should be aware of the misleading information when u make sure a large purchase, once again buyer beware for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A couple inspired by the Gift/Promo Card Spam:

Hubert C.: Canadian Tire Auto centers have to better train their technicans, last time they install snow tires with RIM on my mother's car, they ruined all 4 rims because they did not hand screw it first but used the dam tools to screw it right in. NEVER AGAIN

Michael G.S.: Canadian tire in brooks Alberta got to be the worst
I took my car there to change tires an ended up with 12 striped out lug nuts.
Then the store manager argued with me saying I did it.
Thanks Canadian tire you stink

Tim H.: I used Canadian tire only because it was a Sunday and all other shops werent open to do a simple flat repair. It ended up taking the moron 3 hours to fix it and then they tried charging me 250$ for something that was quoted at 15$ . The Nimrod broke my wheel stud and tried to make me pay for his stupidity....never again

Aaron S.: I bought some tires, long story short, they were good for 82000 kms. I got 14,765 to be exact and they're bald. Ct replied to me. I thought that wa pretty cool. They asked to email, I did. They didn't respond for 3 weeks. When they did, they said it was my suspension that caused the tires to bald. I laughed! The tires were on the rear of my truck. It's a solid axle back there. There is no shocks or struts. Or ball joints etc.
ct just doesn't want to come good for new tires. They're weasels. Admit ct you guys are wrong.
I said I will post this story on every page of yours that comes by my wall and I will!

This makes me wonder what the other problems were:

Joe G.: Bought a set of tires at capilino ctire they call me at work tell me they had to replace all my lug nuts because on dodge trucks the lug threads pick up and can't be used again. What! I call dodge dealerships service dept. The tell me BS. To late ctire tells me and that will be 45 $ a tire more. Service manager backs up his lying mechanic and front desk man and oh we threw out your old lug nuts. Thats just one of several bad exp. I have had with them. I have boycotted them since and have retold this story to every freand family and union brother l can to forwarn them of discraceful performance of a co. carring our nations name.

Decided to check Facebook.

lots of complaints!

Ninfa C.: The Canadian Tire store on St Clair and Keele sold me old tires for the price of new tires. They told me that they would not carry tires past 5 years old yet they were ok with selling me tires that are nearly 3 years old and did not offer to exchange them for newer ones because i had them installed somewhere else. A friend told me they were old after i purchased them from CT. Their customer service dept is more like a sales dept not a service dept, selling old tires and displaying the newer ones on the floor. they don't care about your safety concerns or offer solutions, but instead tell you to shop somewhere else....which i suppose will do in the future....it is buyer beware...

Gotta love the Tire Spam!

Karen G.:
Canadian Tire has the worst service ever. Ordered 4 goodyear wrangler tires on dec 3, 2013 and still almost 8 weeks later still no tires. Finally had hope yesterday but low and behold they only have 3. The thing that bugs me the most that another store 1 hour away received 8 on jan 10 and I ordered mine dec 3 and can't get them. I even offered to drive the hour if they were willing to refund me for the gas and still no luck. Poorest customer service ever. Paid over $1000 for the tires up front. They had my money for 8 weeks and I get nothing just excuses. Wish I could find the number for the CEO. I wouldn't be long calling him.

Karen G: The tires are a goodyear wrangler territory. They are a very heavy truck tire. That is the type my husband wanted. I contacted goodyear and it is an in house brand that they manufacture for canadian tire only. If they were available any where else I would of cancelled them long ago. Can't seem to find a heavy knob tire anywhere else.

Rob M.: I stopped buying tires there yrs ago when they did not honour warranty now I buy at Walmart never any trouble with them

Perhaps a call to the police is in order? Then, a trip to Small Claims?

Mela D.: My fiance and I are VERY upset with this company. The lack of caring for a good customer experience is completely ridiculous and upsetting. We purchased 2 brand new tires off of a CT store (along with 1000 dollars worth of work) and when we requested to have our tires bagged and put into our vehicle they never did. They were brand new tires that I purchased in August and this happened at the beginning of December. The store manager has made every excuse in the book to try to make this okay however will not do what is necessary and give us 2 replacement tires. This has now gone on for 2 months and expected to go get a receipt (when it should be unecessary) before anything is dealt with. The store manager attempted to advise me the mechanic may have gotten rid of them because of the condition they were in. 1) We looked at the condition prior to going in and they were still driveable. and 2) Ever if there was a head sized hole on the side of the tire it's NOT HIS DECISION TO DO SO. This was MY property NOT HIS. I expect something done ASAP. I've already brought this up to corporate which has done nothing but LET ME DOWN AS WELL. So let me tell you, contacting anyone clearly won't do anything for you. And from what I see on this facebook page alone.. I was RIGHT to try to talk my fiance out of going to CT and I'm right to tell everyone I know NOT to go!

Our-home N.L.: For a retail store that sales tire and specialized in tires.
Didn't even have tires on hand.
Canadian Tire really needs to get their act together London Ontario

Susan B.K.: Hi Tom, I feel your pain. I have heard nothing but lies from Canadian Tire and now have filed against them with the Better Business Bureau. Its amazing how people can lie just to make themselves look better. To claim that a 74 year old man came in extremely irrate and threating....I rest my case. No need to reply Canadian Tire Customer support, already moved on with this. You have done nothing for us as well. Tires coming loose off a vehicle is a serious issue and no one is taking care of this.
