Canadian tire auto techs wages suck!!

Canadian tire pays there mechanics 1000 bucks every 2 weeks or commission ..that's 12.50 an hr.. so you wonder why they try and rob you..

I've heard that most of the people in the shops aren't actually trained mechanics at all, or every apprentices, but instead un-trained and inexperienced "technicians". This would keep costs down, but also explain why their work is so poor. Horrible!

That's an interesting viewpoint. Please share the proof. Unless it is just one more "little white lie"

I am looking for a old pay stub .. why would I lie am I will post it here when I find one. My husband worked there 10 years and NEVER got a raise on that base wage of $1000. And he IS a licensed tech..

The pay stub info might be interesting, but don't do anything, just because this obnoxious CT Defender (likely an employee) says they don't believe you.

No matter how much anti-store evidence has been presented, the SAngryTroll always say they are unconvinced.

The important thing is, you've let people out there know what goes on, and consumers can draw their own conclusions.

It was not the consumer who was being questioned. She sounded real from the beginning (repuda). It was you and your "inference" that was being questioned. I just wanted your proof that most shops don't have liscenced technicians in them. I believe your "inference" to be just another lie that you post here.

Now I am suspicious that repuda is a real poster. "don't do anything" to prove her mechanic husband makes the same wage as a retail employee after 10 years? That does not sound realistic.

Spend millions on making themselves look good to cover their lies..It would be cheaper to be honest..Give my husband his severance pay after 10 yrs service..He had a stroke at work, they sent him home.Come on where is your heart.. problem is all this generosity is a tax break and publicity ..paying him or making good to people on here is just cash out of pocket....True Canadians are generous and caring people..

Over the years I worked at many CT stores as a mechanic.I have stories that would make your hair stand up.First I have to say that many of the posters who claim to be CT mechanics are not.For another mechanic it is easy to see from what they have to say.and how they say it.Most mechanics have moved on if they are any good at all.So all thats left working at CT are the barrel scrapings .A few long timers afraid to leave and a bunch of unlicensed hacks who shouldnt touch anyones car.CT should be worried all the real EX CT mechanics get on a website like this and spill their guts.
