I had these guys do a wheel alignment for me.
Alignment seems OK. However, the service order says I must re-torque the lug nuts after 50 kms.
So, I went to do that, and found one lug nut cross threaded. The lug nut is jammed about 1/4"
away from the wheel, and I can't tighten or loosen it...

I needed 4 new tires so the first place I thought off was Canadian tire. I asked for the all season radials CT brand tires.
First problem was this store only had 3 tires of this kind and it would be 2 weeks before he could get the forth one.
Second problem I ran into was I knew nothing of...
Well, I'm paraphrasing, but check it out at Canadian Tire chief shuffles management, tells employees to shape up - thestar.com
"We have to improve our performance", said Wetmore.
The article describes "a commitment to better serve customers of its stores, particularly in its lagging automotive...

In May 2010, I took my car for an oil change at CT's Northside edmonton (Fort Road) store to get an oil change. I waited about an hour and half. A few days after I noticed fresh oil spilt on my parking lot. Didnt think much of it, Maybe someone was messing around on my lot. On further inspection...
brought my car in today at 330 for an oil change. i live just down the road so it was the closest place other than costco...big mistake. the guy at the counter told me 2 and a half hours max, not a big deal since i had some stuff i had to do at home. first off the guy was a prick. it sounded...
I am sure that this happens time and time again. I bought an item, and a few days later decided that I didn't want it. Decided to return the unopened item, though stalling for 2 weeks since I have 90 days to return and all. Get to the store... "repair only" no return... excuse me? It says so...

Long story short - got my tires replaced at Canadian Tire and not long after, one of my tires came off my truck while driving, rolled down the road while my truck came to a skidding stop on the shoulder.
I got it towed back to Canadian Tire, they admitted fault and offered to make it right. The...
Background story:
Bought used 944 with winter tires on it. It came with a set of summers. I put the summers on but they were so bad I thought the car was going to rattle itself apart. Initial plan was to drive to the US on said crappy tires and get new ones there for about 1/2 the price of what...

About a week ago, I went to my local CT store to get an estimate on some front end work. I had no idea what was wrong but there obviously was a problem with my Montana van.
So, about 2 hours later I received an estimate for almost 3000 dollars. I about fell down literally. I said, OK, now...
Anyone heard of the store policy change? I don't know if this is specific to the Chilliwack store only, or all Canadian tires, but it seems that if you now take something back, even if the product is clearly defective, you will be given a choice of taking an exchange (does not need to be the...
I purchased a Super Winch AtV 3000 in Dec 09.. My new machine 100 Kms. had only 100 kms when the transmission went on it. Consequently I didn't hook up the AtVv 3000 untill this spring. I now have 205 Kms. on it and a failed attempt at an ATV 2000 super winch which I threw in the bush. In the...

Good friend of mine rubbed a curb, took out the sidewall of a motomaster tire. The tire warranty was purchased, but can a receipt be found? Not a chance. I'm wondering, if the same new tire is purchased, can the old one be taken back on the new one's warranty? Do they record a serial number of...
Hey so first time poster here just found the website. Pretty frustrated with Canadian tire. Long story short they pay crap, even when your bringing dealership experience. I worked for a GM dealer that recently closed, and in a pinch, took a job there. So far thats probably the biggest mistake of...

Well, it was my GFs car actually.
She was short on cash, so I gave her 2 of my tires, then said to get 2 CT brad ones, since her daily commute was like 5 minutes each way, no biggie.
I asked them. 2 new ones in front, my 2 old ones in back. They put 2 new ones on the left, and 2 old ones on the...

Never had auto service done there, but the store is clean, the return poilcy hassle factor is low, and the parts guys hold parts for me until I get there. The parts prices are often competetive with Auto Value, and they ofen have stock when other Canadian Tires do not.
Auto Service and Customer-Service [particularly] at Auto-Service sucks.
I took my car CT Sarcee Trail NW Calgary for winter tires. One night I on my way home I found out that my front wheel has lost three out of five lug bolts. I believe CT should pay for the cost of repair (the were the last to...
