"Carleton Place chemical spill kept under wraps for 12 years"

The town bought the former Canadian Tire site for $1, but it may have been anything but a bargain. The town could be on the hook for more than $1 million in clean-up costs, as well as decades of monitoring.

Nice job, Crappy Tire!

Be sure to continue accusing innocent customers of "fraud" when they want to return products that don't even work.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_(Internet):

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[4]

Yet another rip-off brought to you by the "honest" people who run the Crappy Tire Corporation.

Anybody willing to dig up more dirt on this now-closed location?

Interesting about Crappy Tire's responsibility for repairs to vehicles damaged while in its care.

Here’s a case form Quebec, where a Crappy Employee got into an accident in a customer’s vehicle, on a public road.

The store first tried to get the customer to go through the customer’s own insurance company, but the customer didn’t want the accident on their own record.

Then, the store said they didn’t have to cover that damages, because when their employee damaged the customer’s vehicle, it was on a public road.

Next, Crappy Tire tried to blame someone named Dimitrios Kunturas, for reasons that aren’t clear in the court documents.

In the end, the judge decided that the Crappy Employee had cause the damage to the customer’s car, so Crappy Tire should reimburse the customer.

I’m not sure what would have happened if the customer hadn’t been able to prove that the Crappy Employee caused the accident.

CanLII - 2006 QCCQ 16618 (CanLII)

Bottom line: be very careful who you give your keys to - certainly not Crappy Tire, who won't own up to their own errors.

Yup, it looks like we'll be stuck with another day of repetitive posts from the Angry Lying Troll.

The principle of ‘free speech’ says that even the CT Angry Lying Troll can post here.

The principle of ‘common sense’ says you should disregard their lies and troll posts.

Keep that in mind, during the coming deluge of crap, LOL!

this accident took place ona public road. will a judge force crappy to pay if it happened just in a parking lot?

I like how faker advocate throws out a question, and then answers his own post using another personality.

Must be trying desperately to grow his e-commerce site. Looks like this one isn't doing to well. Donation box looking a little empty.

Maybe the conspiracy sites make more money, they definitely get more traffic....LOL

Lots of "fakers" on this site. I think they are all the same person.

Please ignore the Angry Lying Troll. See (Troll (Internet) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

The good new is, we've now found out that Crappy Tire is improperly disposing of batteries, presumably a lead-acid automotive battery.

The bad new is, they didn't manage to completely burn down their own store, after flaunting the rules for proper disposal of hazardous waste.

NiagaraThisWeek Article: Fire at St. Catharines Canadian Tire

Makes me wonder if this store charged the consumer a "disposal fee", and then just pitched it into the dumpster anyway. Nice place to dump lead and sulfuric acid!

It'd sure be entertaining if the City of Ottawa pulled the license of all Crappy Tire gas stations:

Ottawa councillors send warning letter to local gas stations | CTV Ottawa | CTV News

I wonder if they'd boycott the whole corporation, stores and all, or just the gas stations?

After all, their letter said, "the guilty companies, their subsidiaries and affiliates". Could include Mark's and the newly-purchased (but not yet fully Crappified) sporting goods stores, too!

Here's one owner who's trying a unique approach to the law: instead of just blithely ignoring the law, he's actually trying to use the system to change a proposed law he doesn't like:

Pesticide proposal irritates local retailer

But if the law goes into effect, how much do you wanna bet he'll just ignore it, the way so many of his fellow owners ignore the Sale of Goods Act, Consumer Protection Act, privacy legislation, price-fixing laws, and so on?
