Employees will never get decent wages at Canadian Tire. Owners don't care about their employees. There is a revolving door at Canadian Tire. Any employee can be replaced. This is why employees have no knowledge of their products and customers experience poor customer service. Until CT owners treat there employees with respect and give them decent annual pay increases - this will always be the case. As it stands now employees earn minimum wage and are treated like crap by their managers, floor managers and general managers. Owners aren't even involved with the day to day operations of their stores. The leave everything up to the general managers. I bet owners don't even know 1/4 of their employees names. Managers have no control either. Everything is run by the General Manager ie. staffing, ordering etc. Managers don't controll anything and they take everything out on the poor employee. In turn, the employee will provide poor customer service because of the treatment the receive.
