Mastercraft Compact Li-Ion Drill, 18V
Product #54-1207-6
I bought this drill because of the rave reviews it had on the Canadian Tire website.
Turns out that certain points (Charge Time - 90 minutes, Torque - 230 in-lb and and Lithium battery life) were wrong or misleading. Because my battery was taking 8 hours to change and lasted a measly half hour I took it back and exchanged it for another one of the exact same product. New drill? Same problem.
But the kicker is I wrote this in the customer review forum not once, not twice, but thrice! And it never was approved by Canadian Tire! They only publish review they find 'helpful' (read: 4 or 5 stars). The third time I wrote the review I was even nice about it, saying that perhaps the two I had were dysfunctional purely as a coincidence.
And this is not the first time this has happened to me with something from the so-called 'Mastercraft' brand lineup, they are so cheap because they are so garbage.
