Eric R.: Took my car there for rear brakes and they went through my car and told me i needed to spend $800 on other problems. I just wanted new rear brakes not a over haul.
Dean G.: I wouldn't let a mechanic from Canadian tire work on my car. The tow might be free. They'll get you on the tire change. You'll need new brakes, rotors , tires, and your motor will need a new starter. Don't call that number
Duane M.: They let the mechanics practise on lego sets.. couldn't fix lunch properly, let alone cars. The garage bays are a joke. NEVER EVERvo to CTC for car repairs.
Teri M.: Had a terrible terrible experience with Cdn Tire in 1973 auto and never shopped there since. Had an appt and took the day off work in case the appt took longer than expected... and they took walk ins before me because they were MEN needing something done and I was a young woman. It was like that back then. At the end of the day the mechanic said come back tomorrow. I cut up my Cdn Tire card - and never went or shopped there since.
Alisha D.: Agreed, my brother and father have been ripped off by them before, They actually accidentally has my dads car come off of the jack slightly causing a hole in the car and they did not tell my dad until he noticed it and then they told him. Not a good place to go and they rip women off.
I think Nick sums things up pretty well, as a result of Crappy Tire's expenditure to Facebook - what a disaster!!
Nick D.: Look at all the negative comments on here. Looks like I am not the only one. Maybe now they will realize when you rip off the customer you will lose business. people are not stupid and they eventually find out about it.
Pauline L.B.L.: I had an oil pan replaced at my car dealers. The next day I had a flat tire. Towed to CT for repair (actually bought new tires). The next day the new oil pan was leaking so back to the dealers. I was told the damage was done by CT on their lift. Had to install another new oil pan. 2 in three days!!! CT categorically denied all responsibility!! This was a very expensive lesson for me. I will never ever take my car to them again!
Wow! Now customers are even posting automotive warnings on that thread on toy storage boxes!
Clive B.: Just a WARNING to auto owners. DO NOT go to Canadian Tire for any auto work. They will rip you off so bad. $800 for brake line repair there. Took it to a small shop, $85
Jeffrey B.: roger i am taking them to court also have a big letter done up to send to market place. i have never felt so betrayed by a Canadian company
