Robert R.: Very disappointed Canadian Tire, We got our heater core replaced there and you think for over a 1000 bucks we spent they would at least clean the oily filmed antifreeze windows and put everything they pulled out of the glove box and put it away where they got it. S F. B.: I understand that this is not the right place to talk about this but I am sorry you guys have pushed me to the limits! Few days ago I went to Canadian tire auto service and spend over $500 on repair EVEN AFTER the following happened to me before that:

> Few weeks ago my car did not start, all lights were working. It started itself after few minutes. Next day i took it to Canadian Tire Store at Brittania and Mavis, Brampton, Ontario, Store # 497. I explained everything the mechanic Ali checked and told me the everything was fine including battery and if it happens again within 3 months bring it back and we wont charge you for diagnostics. I took the car back and it happend again yesterday, I had an idea that it could be starter so i knocked the starter a little and car started, I took it back and explained the mechanic Anthony every thing and also told him that I knocked the starter so it could be starter. He checked and told me that every thing is fine. I said I knocked the starter don't you think you should change the starter? He said no it should be fine now and you should take it back. So I took it back because i thought that he know these thing better. After 7 kilometers I stoped at Steeles and Mavis for

> groceries. When I came back same thing happened, car was not starting. I called the store and talked to Anthony he said bring it back, I said i have to tow it and i dont want to pay for it, he said just bring it back and we will see if we can pay. I said NO NO tell me if you are paying for the tow or not. He said I am sure, Yes. then I get the car towed to canadian tire. and left it there over night. In the morning the mechanic Anthony called and said, "IT WAS THE PROBLEM WITH THE STARTER AND WE REPLACED IT." and he told me to talk to the manager for the tow bill, may be we can do something! I said, MAY BE???? you told me that you will pay that's why I got my car here otherwise i would have took it to the other canadian tire that was closer to me. anyway i went there and had a talk with the manager Jason. He just refused to pay because he thought that it was not their fault! I told him that i explain the mechanic that I KNOCKED THE STARTER! dont you think it was

> starter and it happened three times in a week. Any way he kept refusing. I said I am not going untill you stand here and finish the talk, Manager Jason walked away by saying,

> "YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT, ITS A FREE COUNTRY!"

> On the top of that, when i was paying the bill to pick up my car i found out that they put a REBUILT STARTER in my car, AND they did not mentioned when giving me the price it. I wanted the new one because it has life time warrenty and rebuilt has only 3 years.

> Dear Canadian Tire, for the auto services, the customers pay more at your store. So they dont have to go through this. I want my tow bill from Canadian Tire and I want them to change the starter to a new starter. Because even when I talked over the phone, the person didnt even mention that there is something like a "rebuilt starter".
I got the call from the manager and he kept say the same thing he said to me for the first time. I said ok then I will talk to the Canadian Tire on facebook. he said, "I dont care, I am above facebook!"

Dear Canadian Tire:
I don't know what kind of service you are believing to give in the auto department but I am going to be sharing my story about the service I received and I want everyone to share this story so it gets around Canada and maybe back to Corporate who believes they can't do anything to replace the money I spent on the replacements they did which fell apart.
On Saturday February 21st I went in to have new tires put on my car, and mentioned I had an issue with my front control arms. I had the right front control arm and ball joint replaced to make sure I would be safe for my drive to a job interview which meant driving on the HWY.
After spending a pretty penny at Canadian Tire on all of these replacements on Tuesday Feb. 24th (the day of the interview) I was leaving London and everything they "repaired" fell apart. The front right control arm fell off of the ball joint if that's even how it goes and my tire was left sideways. Not only did I wait 6 hours for CAA after calling Canadian tire to tell them this had happened they didn't even offer to send a tow truck of their own out to get me, nevermind the fact that I had to take a day off of work and missed a very important job interview which requires driving out of city... The CAA driver let me know there was NO BOLT in the ball joint and with this my drive axel ripped apart as well. We have been in contact with Corporate Head office and they have informed us theres "nothing they can do."
Nothing you can do, how about refunding the money I paid for the service that fell apart, or paying a days worth of wage that I missed due to your mistake. This actually could hurt my potential promotion for a new position...
A bolt does not just fall out by hitting a "pothole" like they're trying to explain.
Canadian tire is a shady corporation and I suggest no one goes there to get their car fixed as it's an unreliable service.
Please share this and help me get my story across. I am lucky to be alive honestly because if I had been on the highway when this had happened I could have flipped my car and ended up on my death bed due to their mistake that they won't own up to.
It was said to be sent to a "case investigation" which has done absolutely nothing for this situation.

Did you know that the mechanics get a commission on all of the uneccesary parts they say you should have installed on your vehicle ? Helping someone outside of the shop would certainly stand in the way of them making extra money inside
 
Lynda-Mae: Don't shop at this store they treated my daughter like garbage cause she had a flat tire in the parking lot they wouldn't even come out and help her ...she had to get my son in law to leave work and help her put on her spare ...so we are going to Good Year for a new tire ... Customer service ?
 
Lynda-Mae: Well the first person she spoke to said yes no problem , he then called the mechanic and he said she can get a tow truck and have them tow the car across the parking lot , come on guys I have shopped at this store for years but that is disgusting and as for my daughter learning to change her own tire .... Well some people have back problems that don't allow them to do this type of thing . I am going to call the store as I am very upset about this kind of attitude .
 
Edwin B.: ... will never take my vehicle into the service bays again. Tried at Kamloops, Surrey, and Prince George. All with diasterous results! Especialy bad was Surrey.
 
Ron K.: Canadian Tire almost killed my child and my wife by repairing her car but failing to tell her 4 Struts were cracked and let her drive away with a 16 month old baby in the car, I will not be satisfied with any response from Canadian Tire unless it's an apology and some sort of compensation for having to go somewhere else to not only get the car checked out before getting repaired but after my wife and I were going to drive to Newfoundland, the mechanic I took it to after they "fixed it" not only told me he would not let the car leave the lot until I paid him to repair it but that if we had driven to Newfoundland the car would have broken down he said the struts would have snapped and my family and I could have been seriously injured. this is BS I have relied on Canadian Tire tire since I was a kid and I totally have lost faith in them my father worked for them for 15 years at one point. I went into the Hamilton Ontario location and they laughed at me and my wife and told us they would call the cops if we didn't leave, we contacted head office about it and they took our information and never got back to us. you better believe I better get a private message soon with some sort of resolution or I'll be following up with the labour bored and better business bureau
 
Patrick T.: I know one of theoldshop managers hes a hell of agreat tech but ive heard way too many horror stories coming from cdt shops... three of my familly members had seriousproblem cause by greedy sob s which damaged there heating and cooling systems clearly with a screw driver just to get another commision...
change your policies commission can make too many ppl become dishonnest..
ecen after mysekf speeking to arep eff all was resolved as a tech myself safety and security is the #1 priority....

dont bother giving excuses faillure on three vehicles happenned within 24h of other repairs every time it was damage clearly caused by either a phillipsscrewdriver or a pair ofcutters..

Ps also before repairs where done all three i had inspected with no signs of any problems that came after there repair
 
Ron K.: dude this person running the canadian tire page told me to phone I phoned and because canadian tire decided to do nothing they still wont do anything i have been waiting 2 years for a resolution on this crap this is crap dont get your car repaired at canadian tire not only are they dishonest and promote bad management when it comes to customer service if they have been made to look bad they wont do anything the only thing canadian tire is good for are lawn chairs and even those break why do you think most canadians call you guys CRAPPYTIRE because you suck your all about the money and you dont care about the customer, my wife and 16 month old child could have been killed not to mention the manager of the hamilton location laughed in my face. shame on you Canadian Tire
 
Adam Z.; Canadian Tire treated one of my best friends like crap when his car broke down in their parking lot, leaking fluid onto the ground. The response he got from the head office was rude and accused him of asking for free product when all he wanted to do was clean up the mess the car made. You would think being a Canadian company they would have better values and not accuse good paying customers. I only go to a CT store if it is absolutely necessary, which is hardly ever since you can get the same stuff for cheaper at Wal-mart (with a way better return policy too), or in the case of car parts, NAPA.
 
Terry M.: Canadian Tire invited me into the garage bay where my car was on the hoist so the mechanic could demonstrate free play in an undercarriage component, and the mechanic vigorously shook the left front tire while I was standing at the front of the vehicle, causing a socket wrench the diameter of a beer can to fall off the radiator, impacting me in the forehead, causing a one-inch gash and putting me into the clinic for observation and a tetanus shot and causing me to miss work for the afternoon. When I called the store the next day, the manager would not take my call but had an employee inform me they would not accept responsibility for the incident, when all I had inquired about was whether I could get a break on part of the repair cost. The conversation was then terminated.
 
Ron K.: pretty sad that I phoned the number you told me too and apparently there's nothing that can be done because Canadian tire of course made the decision not to do anything about it because it went very high up and then nothing was done so you people decided to close the file NICE TO KNOW HOW CANADIAN TIRE TREATS ITS CUSTOMERS AND EVEN LONG STANDING EMPLOYEES I'LL BE CONTACTING THE LABOUR BORED AND GETTING A LABOUR LAWYER NOW SO I CAN PROVE THAT YOUR MANAGER DIDNT DO HIS DUE DILIGENCE IN THE MATTER. nice to know that you guys wont honour WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE dont go to canadian tire people don't support a company that doesnt care I'm so sick of this crap.
