Dear Canadian Tire:
I don't know what kind of service you are believing to give in the auto department but I am going to be sharing my story about the service I received and I want everyone to share this story so it gets around Canada and maybe back to Corporate who believes they can't do anything to replace the money I spent on the replacements they did which fell apart.
On Saturday February 21st I went in to have new tires put on my car, and mentioned I had an issue with my front control arms. I had the right front control arm and ball joint replaced to make sure I would be safe for my drive to a job interview which meant driving on the HWY.
After spending a pretty penny at Canadian Tire on all of these replacements on Tuesday Feb. 24th (the day of the interview) I was leaving London and everything they "repaired" fell apart. The front right control arm fell off of the ball joint if that's even how it goes and my tire was left sideways. Not only did I wait 6 hours for CAA after calling Canadian tire to tell them this had happened they didn't even offer to send a tow truck of their own out to get me, nevermind the fact that I had to take a day off of work and missed a very important job interview which requires driving out of city... The CAA driver let me know there was NO BOLT in the ball joint and with this my drive axel ripped apart as well. We have been in contact with Corporate Head office and they have informed us theres "nothing they can do."
Nothing you can do, how about refunding the money I paid for the service that fell apart, or paying a days worth of wage that I missed due to your mistake. This actually could hurt my potential promotion for a new position...
A bolt does not just fall out by hitting a "pothole" like they're trying to explain.
Canadian tire is a shady corporation and I suggest no one goes there to get their car fixed as it's an unreliable service.
Please share this and help me get my story across. I am lucky to be alive honestly because if I had been on the highway when this had happened I could have flipped my car and ended up on my death bed due to their mistake that they won't own up to.
It was said to be sent to a "case investigation" which has done absolutely nothing for this situation.
