Kyle T.: Re:Hi Kyle, could you please contact customerservice@canadiantire.com with your contact info about this? We will be in touch.
Seeing this was a few years ago , I see no point getting in touch with customer service. They did nothing at the time when I had to take my van back. Pointed out where it said below " van has intermittent ignition faults and needs to be brought back for further diagnostics " and complained. I was upset over this because my can did NOT! Need a $900 tune up . It was there for a intermitted ignition fault to begin with. That doesn't make any sense at all , doing a tune up then telling me it needs to come in (for work I took it there for in the beginning) the work order said " intermitted ignition problem" That right there shows you a complete rip off! All documented in writing on the work order and sent out the door saying being back for the problem you brought it here for with a $900 bill

Christopher W.: I had a guy in Kelowna Canadian tire garage ,put car grease on a spark plug and try to tell me I needed new ones.

Brad S.: yes my truck in Penticton new rotors drums pads shoes plus these shop charges? then my van in Edmonton lol same 2 The roadside assistance was helpful until (story) had new brakes drums rotors shoes and alignment done on grandcaravan then drove 4 hours out of town and calipars froze road side assist took me to Okatoks AB, CT was closed and road side assist wood not pay 4 a hotel for the night. over a $900 at CT + hotel + one day wage loss They are only good for changing tires good price on tires

Leroy C.: Don't do it save yourself from the biggest scammers north of the border. They scammed myself a month ago where as I'm still in the process of seeking satisfaction as well as compensation for 4000 dollars they charged me a month ago. They are not content with a small ripoff. Through dishonesty and flat out lies with no or very little remorse and though there all the same this was Canadian tire meadowvale. And thank you for reading. Better yet trust me and be careful

Wayne C.: I don't usually comment on these postings but this time I have to. I too learned the hard way that Canadian Tire is not the place to take your vehicle for repairs but the problem is caused by their corporate greed. They don't pay their workers enough to live on. Take the time to talk to some of them and you will be surprised the menagerie wages such a large corporation pays out. Their mechanics are on a commission on the parts they sell which is added to a merger basic wage. They rip off their customers to survive and put bread on their tables. That system can never be any better. It's not the mechanics' fault, it's the owners. Nice too see CT getting all this flack. Bet they won't be rushing out another ad on Facebook.

Paul M.: Worst mechanics in Vancouver , used to trust them but they were constantly miss diagnosing simple issues that a good mechanic would have found . There are better cheaper garages/mechanics available

Genevieve L.: Canadian Tire is the last place I would take my car! We took my husband van there a few years back and after spending nearly 1000$ for absolutly nothing we will never go again!

Carl S.: Yes. A free tow to Cdn Tire. From there, you can use CAA to tow you to a reputable repair facility.

Prem Y.: From the sounds of it, I don't think I'll ever bring my car to Canadian Tire. Too many bad reutations

Julie W.: Yeah right. This from the same company who refused to get one of their mechanics to stay late and switch out my tires when I was stuck in London during a snowstorm an hour away from home. Even though I would have spent a fortune on tires and rims in their store.

Marwyn H.: Lmao wow what ever you do don't go to Marlboro mall CT in Calgary nothing but bad experience there from the automotive manager and a 2500.00 bill later my windshield wipers don't work and a moulding strip ripped off and put on the floor in the back. Be afraid very afraid lol

Brenda S.L.: yes the one in sturgeonfalls sucks too, they tell us we need new brakes on a new car. we bring it to another dealer and he says there is nothing wrong with our brakes, they can go suck eggs. we have CAA.

Carl D.: I also had a bad experience taking my car there for an oil change. By the time they were done, my bill was over $1000! This will not happen again!

Jane R.: Oh I don't think you want to hear from me...my 2neices and their 3year old and9year went Rothesay store cause their tire had a screw in it and was going flat...they were told by service flask person they could leave it and they might get to it today...they were there atv2:30 yesterday...went to KV Auto and the guy had it fixed and they were safelynonntheirvwaynin 15 minutes very poorbcustomer service at canadian tire Rothesay nb

Jane R.: Well since another garage fixed their problem I don't know what customer service could for us...our family does know that we would never use your auto service again this is the second poor service in 2 months...my nephew was travelling to Saint Jon from Sussex on his way to school when his truck overheated...he took it to canadian tire on westmorelsand rd and was told he needed a new radiator at the price of $400 for part plus labour...he took it to a mechanic in Sussex and guess what...radiator was fine...problem was $80 thermostat...shame on canadian tire

Jeremy P.: Canadian Tire in Winnipeg
I took in my rx7 to simply get new tires put on. I had suggested they change my oil.
They managed to tell me they had the right tires on their system but apparently they weren't at the location.
So I waited for them to be delivered.
They managed to get the tires on and change the oil "applause".
However, when I asked what was taking so long I went to viewing window to witness them lower my car onto the drainage pan, then proceed to drive it about 15 feet dragging this oil pan.
What happened was the oil pan ripped off and apart several pieces of the underbody.
I went into the service bay and pleaded my case only to get kicked out.
When I brought up making an MPI claim they suggested it would be a bad idea as they had "noticed" a few unsafe things with my car, and I probably shouldn't go thru insurance.
The car was safetied merely a few months before by a Mazda dealership.
Either way, the only thing you should go to CT for is to test your sucker level...

Paul R.: Canaian tire wreked my car. I can't pruve it but went in for an injector andfuel rail and breaks done 1200.. my car ran perfectly b4 I took it there. When I got it back a week later it died on side of road and won't start I called them they said have u driven it sincewe did work. I said yes. Well theu said its nothing we did then and now I've given them everything in my bank accunt and still have no car to drive... thanks

Rob B.: i took my truck in for ball joint to b replaced kamloops ct B.C. made it to appointment they said a time when would b done , i phoned them ,they said they changed one side and still had one more side to do time was up and not done . so i went to canadien tire and THEY DIDN't even start the repairs . THEY ACTUALLY LIED TO ME!!!!!.......and no apology.......i took a day off work too and it was a expensive waste off time, and they did nothing .....

Nicole L.C.: Hey Canadian Tire, it looks like its time to either revamp or eliminate your car "service" department. I too had a ridiculously poor experience at your kamloops store. I used to shop there ALOT, however after my experience with the auto dept, I will NEVER shop there again. Seems to be a FAR too common theme with these comments. It would be sad to see a Canadian company go belly_up when it was preventable.
