Don't waste your time by setting foot in this store. If you're thinking of buying an item shown in their flyer, you won't find it, this cramped store has no room to stock, or properly display advertised goods. In addition, aisles and floor space are so clogged with stock making it difficult to navigate the store. The difficulty in finding anything in this store necessitates asking staff, which are rarely available, So you'll spend your time wandering through the labyrinth of sky-high piled shelves in search of an employee. Entrance and cashier/exit area are obstacles to traffic flow, (lose the silly turn-style already!) with only one counter open to handle any transaction, or to exit the store. Incompetent, high-school age staff, who exhibit poor training and management. A frustrating experience!
The current trend of retailers to run their business using a skeleton crew of minimum wage workers, and cram every square inch of floor space with stock in hope of increased sales, merely illustrates greed, and apathy towards customer service.
Regarding auto service, I don't know anyone who would would bring their beloved vehicle to a Canadian Tire shop, at least locally. Personally I wouldn't trust them to perform a mere oil change! If you have them do anything to your car, make sure it is a simple repair where you can tell them exactly what you want done. Still, this could be scary, with a job poorly done. No surprise these stores are known as "Crappy Tire".
How does this company keep going, running stores like this?
