Owners/Managers Seeking Information and Opinions From Customers


As I've already said, hose and nozzle kits are at the store for warranty issues....no cost to the customer. If it's not under warranty, you can buy a hose or nozzle at the store. For any other replacement part, the store will order whatever is needed from our Simonize division or let you know who repairs them in your area if it is beyond the warranty and isn't a simple thing like a wand or hose.
But I still think your post is faker advocate using one of his many many personalities. Read all the posts, it's actually pretty humorous. And pretty easy to spot.

Congratulations on figuring out so quickly that Angry CT Guy likes to post a lot of lies here. One of his favourites is to pretend consumers wrote something they didn’t, then say that the consumer lied.

You just kind of get used to it, I think.

About this “Advocate” stuff? That’s just another thing Angry CT Guy likes to foam at the mouth about. Apparently, any web site with a “Donate” button asking for credit card information is a “fake advocate site”, and anyone who posts there is a “faker advocate: “Faker advocates on fake advocate sites would not need my credit card info, would not have a disclaimer to the merchantability of this site and wouldn't be looking for donations.”

But this stuff about “600 suck.com” sites? Nobody’s really figured that out yet. Best guess: the more complaints a store has, the more successful it must be. Pretty funny!

Would it be nice to just ban Angry CT Guy from the site? Sure, but this site is about ‘free speech’. Maybe too free

So, it’s probably best just to ignore this …. person. They just refuse to be rational.

We can never be 100% sure, but I know it's not me (I guess that's just my "opinion"?). And to anyone who's not deluded, it's clearly the American.

(And any genuine store owner or manager would be wise to listen to what he has to say.)

Besides, nobody would need to fake a post like his. The thread https://www.canadiantiresucks.net/personal-stories/68-simoniz-scam.html is the most popular non-admin thread on this site. There are lots of stories just like the American's, on this site, Red Flag Deals, Complaints Board, and so on.

So, that was another easy one to answer!

How about a harder question? Maybe something about the Sale of Goods Act?

Well, there are a lot of people who don't like poor service, products, sales practices, return policies, and so on.

These people are willing to put their own time and money into creating a place where consumers will have a voice in these matters, and to help share information about which businesses are bad, and what's so bad about them, what scams to watch out for, etc.

Also, from the links I've seen you post, the vast majority have been for U.S. companies, with complaints from U.S. consumers. Since their market is about 10 times the size of Canada's, that would explain why there are so many U.S.-based complaints sites, including the "sucks" variety.

It's worth noting that somehow Canadian Tire has managed to do such a bad job, that there are quite a few complaints on the U.S. sites, like ComplaintsBoard and PissedConsumer.

My machine is out of warranty and if the stores have the wand, then it is old stock. I looked on the web site and did see replacement guns/wands, but they look a little different. So then I called Simoniz and they told me I needed to buy it from them at this point. The rep knew that the wand was no longer shipped to the store I assume.

Yes, I am an American living in Nova Scotia, soon to move back. When I first got here I thought "wow" this is a great guy's store. Then I heard people call it "crappy tire." I think that mixed feelings about CT is common. People in NS are a bit cheap and like everyone, want a bargain. But you hate the feeling of being ripped off by overpriced junk.

I think CT has made a mistake with it's deep discount sale strategy where you really have to wait for an item to be on sale or otherwise you will have overpaid. This, along with questionable product quality for many items means your value proposition is unclear.

it took about 1.5 minutes to find this 2011 deloitte report.

in the list of top global retailers, crappy tire is #127.

that's behind loblaws (40), alimentation couch-tard (48), empire company (58), metro (87) and shopper's drug mart (99).

they can keep their piece of crap pressure washer though - even if it was working that wouldn't be true for long.

Actually no, we've decided to repair it, and give it back to you...that's what you agreed to when you made the purchase, and it's legal. Sorry about your luck.

What i'm actually asking is for you to do your own homework. You're the one claiming that we are recording information that we can't record....i say you're wrong. I know you're wrong. My research is easy, I walk a few hundred feet to the front of the store, hit the green button for returns system and low and behold, the menu comes up! I've told you the answer, you just (as usual) refuse to believe ANYTHING. So go see it with your own two eyes.

The claim made on here was that Canadian Tire was not in the top 20 retailers in Canada.

Post 166 was the original claim that Canadian Tire is not on the list of top 10 Canadian Retailers, then expanded to not even on the Top 20. Yet this report was never provided, nor any indication as to who created the report, when, what it measures or who else is on the list.

Interestingly enough, the recent post of a Deloitte top retailers in the world, which by the way was a failed attempt to cover up a lie that nobody said In Canada, actually would put Canadian Tire as the 4th Top Canadian Retailer given that Couche Tard, Loblaws and Shoppers Drug Mart are the only Canadian Retailers on the report ahead of us.

Thanks man, that's fantastic of you to help prove that several lies have been told by CT haters, and that we do rank rather high in retailers rankins.

Well, actually, they only did 2 bit of research:

- found a claim by an anonymous poster to a site they say nobody reads (i.e. Post #166 on that other thread).
- read a report that a consumer found.

(Well, congratulations on reading what a consumer posted. But still, 'congratulations!).

Now, if only they could find some evidence to disprove any of the other significant claims being made by consumers.

Claims about the return policies at Crappy Tire, for instance.

Or the return policies of other retailers.

Or the Sale of Goods Act and the Consumer Protection Act.

Those might be a lot harder - let's see how they do ...
 
The exercise was not about reading what a poster typed....the exercise was about proving multiple lies were told by one of you haters, and then tried to cover it up with another lie.

1) the original claim was Canadian tire was not in the top 20 canadian retailers list - LIE - no such list exists
2) then you backed up and said nobody ever made the claim - LIE - link was posted to show what claim was made
2) the third claim was made that the list wasn't top canadian retailers, that it was a global list published by Deloitte - LIE as the original claim was found and posted


other significant claims? Umm okay with pleasure
How about the CT owners aren't millionaires claim - KILLED
How about martha billes isn't rich claim - KILLED
How about the $`1billion loan to buy forzani claim - KILLED

None of those claims were true. All proven to be lies in the last two weeks
