Trent A.: I took my grand prix gtp in for air care work, left the car overnight it cost me $1000.00 plus tax they said it will pass now, and I took the car to aircare and it failed! They told me I must have done something to the car from leaving there shop to the air care and straight back to Canadian tire! They said for more money they would look at it again! I could not belive it, all they had done for one thousand did not fix the problem and it was somehow my fault! They are rip off artists at best, no customer service at all! I will never shop or support them in any way shape or form.

Carol A.K.: Put a deposit three days on a BBQ went to pick it up to only find out they sold my BBQ. Thanks Canadian tire. You suck. No customer service no satisfaction. Didn't offer anything but a kick in the rump. What is that all about. You just lost a loyal customer

Katy S.S: Ha, I'm glad I'm not the only one with a bad review for Canadian tire!! Fort saskatchewan Canadian tire is THE WORST!! Customer service sucks, store manager is rude, they never have "sale items" on the shelf and are annoyed when you ask for them. The only way I would ever shop there again is if I won free money. I will NEVER spend money there ever again.

Lala R.C.: Canadian tire has seen the last of my money as of today...I have never had such piss poor customer service in my life!

#135:

Jerry R.: I bought a battery with a lifetime warranty I had problems & when I tried to return it I was informed it wasn't a lifetime warranty! Even having the warranty to show they refused to honor it-one of many reasons I refuse to shop at Canadian Tire

Forrest I bought a 10x10 car shelter/tent, brought it home and tried to put it together,, there were pieces missing and pieces broken. Tried to take it back, YEA RIGHT, what a hassle, they said it wasn't there problem anymore to contact the tent people. I wouldn't budge, I held up a line of customers wanting to pay, demanded the manager. He finally came, and at the end of the day, I HAD to take a Canadian Tire Gift Card. I just wanted my money back to go to whatever store I wanted to go to, because it sure isn't Canadian Tire.... Customer Satisfaction Guaranteed..... YEA RIGHT !!! oh and if I hadn't opened the box I was told, there would have been no hassle and I would have gotten cash... REALLY..... so never put it up and never find out its broken,, Good call Canadian Tire,, I won't be back,, Also what I find interesting,, everyone with a problem is to contact you, and everyone that loves the store you tell them good luck in the draw.. Humorous

Robynne F.: and just to add to that comment,, that was my latest purchase and it will be my last

Crappy has been spamming innocent Canadians again, this time about a contest to review your 'latest purchase'.

So,they are seeing things like this posted on their site:

Mary C.B.: Last purchase was last year...needed to return my purchase (only a couple of days later). Was given such a hard time. Person I spoke with so rude and refused to accept my return. Told me that they have a no return policy....ummm...like I told her...read the back of your invoice. I guess she did not like that I spoke English to her...so I read her her stores return policy in perfect French and requested to speak to a manager. Finally my return was accepted and I vowed never to shop there again. Their loss. I will tell anyone who will listen not to shop at Canadian Tire....shame as I grew up with it being my " go to store". No more.. I will gladly give my money to the competition.

Jennifer C.C.: I will not shop Canadian tire. Three times in the last few months ive been there and each time was a horrible customer service experience. third time is a charm canadian tire....i wont shop there anymore. First time an employee went in the back room to get me an item not restocked on the shelf....he never returned...I ended up leaving. Another time I went to purchase skates for my son...the employee in the sports aisle gave me the wrong size (apparently skate sizing is different than regular shoes) I prob could have looked no problem my self, but the state of the skate display was such that I didnt know what brand was what price, sizes were everywhere, etc. I didn't look at the box until I got home and it clearly states on the box the various equivalencies to get the right size....had to go back to the store, which is approx. 30 km from my home. when I brought them to the service counter I went to go pick out the correct size. Mentioned to the lady on the service counter that I thought if an employee was working in a dedicated sports section he should at least be 'trained' to properly advise the customer. she shrugged and rung through the exchange.....no more to it then that. Third time I went in to pick up bar stools I seen in the flyer...wanted to purchase 4, had my 2 yr old with me, had to search for an employee to help, and every one I found said, well i don't work in that area...looked around a little uncomfortably to see if they could see anyone, and them gave me a physical description of the person who DID work that area so that I could continue my search on my own with a now very cranky 2 yr old. thanks Canadian tire....i wont go back.

Colleen P.: I worked at Canadian Tire and they fired me because of my disability!!!!!! I won't ever give these guys another CENT of my money!!

#141:

Dave S.: I bought an electric fireplace from Canadian tire, 2 months later the switch broke. I bought a dehumidifier from there to, lasted 4 months. I don't plan on buying anything from there ever again. Unless its a gift for someone I don't like.

Ct sucks at parts:

Karen L-S: Right on guy's, i have my own complaint's but whats the use. Mine was that they were very rude not 2 mention predjudice. I was the 1st aboriginal n line n served last after 3 other people. I could of n should of left but that was the only 1 for mile's. Had 2 get mobile 4 a 2 day trip home n they gave me the wrong part. Had 2 go all the way back n same thing over. U guy's r pityful CT.All the compliments r coming 4 there own staff lol....booo

Karen L-S: Dont bother ,nothing will ever change il tell you that. I wont b going back either. Il go somewhere else.

#144:

Reid B.: I am basically boycotting CT because the service is ridiculously embarrassing. The staff is usually rude, short, obviously bored and they seem like they hate their jobs. This attitude must start for the top and work its way down. I was actually treated like I was a teenage shoplifter once. I entered carrying an expensive camera in a camera bag. A guy rudely comes up to me and says I have to leave my camera bag behind the counter. What, do I look like I'm stealing? I have never been more insulted in a store.
That was the last straw. I will never darken the doors of that silly business again. In any city. Canadian Tire, I wish you would remove Canadian from your name. And here I thought Canadians were suppose to be extra nice.

Not 100% clear: one store, or the whole chain?

Nancy Y.: Bought last Aug. a power washer for $$367, used it twice last year. This year the hose burst ... Bought a new one because it is not under the warranty!!! Tried to use it last week, it starts and shuts off in seconds. I have to take it to get checked for repair but it will cost me $25 !!! Extremely bad customer service. My car was poorly serviced last year too. Not going back to this store.

Scott P.: Worst customer service and return policies in Canada.
Will never shop there again.
Abbotsford location is the worst.

Scott P.: I contacted head office and they referred me to the store, who were of little help

Should partial boycotts count?

But, it reads more like one of the many recurring, "Dear Canadian Tire: Please Change" messages:

Corey M.: They must have an automated message that sends out these 'customer care' messages because I have wrote them and heard nothing back, I have spoke to them and haven't had any satisfaction. The remedy to our problems they will not provide.. I have come to the conclusion to not buy anything over 10 dollars from them because once it leaves the stores it's yours and there is absolutely nothing they will do for you. As one of the biggest Canadian providers for household items, sporting good and car maintenance/ care, they have neglected us as a consumer. Once they have your money you are not getting it back.. Which is such a shame. If you don't do a good job or the products we buy from you don't work as advertised or just plain work in general.. Provide us with a solution to situations out of our hands. Hold some responsibility for your products and take pride in having the name 'Canadian' branded into your name.
We blindly trust you with confidence and faith that something we buy will work properly.. If it doesn't.. Don't provide us with no solution because your trust is leaving individual after individual, Canadian after Canadian.
Have BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE and CHANGE YOUR POLICIES.. You owe it to yourselves, your customers and Canadians as a whole. Represent us well and stay alive in the market .. Give your CS department a shake up and change the way you do things

#142:
Jon G.: I would never waist my money at Canadian tire.
They have the worst customer service

Oops! Did that one twice!

Luckily, there are plenty more boycotters waiting wings ..

#142:

Andrew M.: My very last purchase ever at Canadian Tire involved standing inline for 20 mins. The poor 17 year old cashier was stuck with an unhappy customer and a price check or price override and nobody helped her , nobody in the department would answer her pages and calls, there appeared to be no cashier manager who could step in and okay the override. The poor cashier was left alone with an ever increasing lineup of angry customers. Eventually the customer went and got the sticker off the shelf. Pretty sad way to run a business and treat your young employees, and where's the floor manager? I voted with my pocket book.

#146:

Darrell J.: Have boycotted Canadian Tire since 1998! Got little respect or satisfaction from their auto service department, and no support from their head office, so I've haven't set foot in, nor spent any money there since! Would rather visit Rona, Home Hardware or Home Depot.

A two-fer!

#147 + #148

Rolland C.: Sandy never 'liked' this page and she is not happy that Canadian Tire is using her Facebook page to promote themselves without her authorization. That's two customers you just lost Canadian Tire! Keep up this kind of work and I hope everyone else also leaves you in the dust. Is this how you thank your past customers? We won't even bother to look at your flyers anymore.
