Sean K.S.: what is the difference between Canadian Tire and a dollar store? dollar stores don't sell tires! why would I bother contacting costumer service? they don't care! what would I tell them? that CT used to be "at one time long ago" an awesome store/franchise, and now it just sux? I don't need another CT $100 gift card, but thanks just the same!

Marcella L.: Customer Service ha!They do absolutely nothing!!!! It all comes down to {we're wrong and they are right} I call it scamming !

Marcella L.: I just purchased a Crock-Pot programmable cook and carry slow cooker at Canadian Tire {Selkirk MB} which had a regular price of $99.99 on it. { I had already checked out the price at other stores and knew the price} BUT thought since I was at CT I might get it there. I took it to customer service to have her check the price and was told it was on as an in-store special at $69.99... I informed her that this was the regular price at Home Hardware, Building Centre & Furniture Stores{next to them} Sears {reg.$71.99 on sale for $59.99} with Wall-mart even cheaper. I did buy it for the $69.99 price but I had also seen other small appliances that were suppose to be on sale but were actually other stores reg. price. SOO just a word to all you CT praisers {like I once was } know your prices before shopping there. I am now very disappointed in this store. BUYER BE WARE !!!!!

Jason L.:i see what you did with the CT cash, pulled a fast one, now when i buy a small item, i dont get 5c in CT cash anymore, i scan a card and get.........1c. Nice little bait and switch.

Tom TC J.: I don't know why I bother giving Canadian Tire one chance after another.
I splurge on high end headlight bulbs one time. Great light, but only lasted two months. They wouldn't exchange them without a receipt. Manager in Mtn rd said how does he know I am not lying, without a receipt. A simple exchange would have satisfied a customer. Given that this is a $40 bulb with probably $30 profit, I think the fella should have made the exchange. #badservice #canadiantire #crappytire

Tom TC J.: Needless to say, I am very disappointed. I deal with customers daily and would never blow someone off like that. I was polite and cordial. When I explained that I would give the product an appropriate review online, he didn't care. And the store was empty, he was not overburdened. I've taken this online, and there seems to be a multitude of issues with this manager. Sorry for ranting, but you should know.. And you removed the rest of my concern, not good, Canadian Tire.

Chase B.: Dont bother emailing them. I did on 2 separate occasions and got snubbed both times. As soon as they have your money they are done with you

Ronald B.: be sure if i have car trouble ctc.is not where im going most of there staff dont know if there coming or going

Holly T.:Really frustrated bought an item just on friday now it's gonna be on sale but local store says I have to drive to the other location I bought it at for the price adjustment but with winter roads and an hour each way it's not looking like it'll be possible. Never again

Holly T.: I'm awaiting a response and I called the 1-800 number today but after being on hold for 45mins I gave up.
The item I purchased at the Regina location is on sale Thursday thru Sunday so I phoned the Moose Jaw location about having the price adjusted and they said I have to go back to Regina which is an hour drive each way and being winter to be able to do this Thursday fri sat or sunday well it's on sale is no guarantee and a huge risk. I want to know why your stores can't accommodate me and refund the money owed. If I can return my product to any store should I not be able to have the price adjustment at any store? It would be faster and cheaper to return item and repurchase the item at the sale price. Plus I wouldn't have to go to Regina which like I said is an hour each way.
Please come up with a solution as I find this ridiculous

Gotta love it! Crappy spammed Canadians again, and boy, did they get an earful from they legions of mistreated customers.

Here's one of the many:

Lisa S.L.: Just had a most disgusting experience @ the Richmond Hill, On Location! The most arrogant and rude manager I have ever encountered - he raised his voice at me , to me , spoke about me before even approaching me, accused me of lying! The entire group of customers in the area were watching. I left the store completely humiliated. I can assure you that I will not only never shop at Canadian Tire again but I will tell everyone I know about my encounter and advise them to do the same. Take your business to Walmart and Home Depot people!! The prices are better and they know the value of Customer service!!

So true!

Jaz P.: I have yet to buy something from Canadian tire that's lasted more than 5 uses. Their new slogans should be " Canada's dollar store"

Roberta M.: I am a little disgruntled this a.m. - had an oil change last evening (it was great - service was great) - until my bill totaled up to $96.90 - which included a XMAS BOW Gift Card for $39.99(that is how it came up on my billing printout - a gift card that I did not ask for - nor was I told if it could be declined). It can only be used for the next oil change - at CTC - whether I want to or not. What a great way to get a customer to have to come back -

Martin B.: 24 hours later and your "customer service department" haven't called back...I can see your concern is strong.

More from Roberta M.:

Roberta M.: Well I just filled out their survey -- we'll have to see what they come back with -

Roberta M.: Just got a reply - and it said if a "response is required I should have one within 2 business days" - it will be interesting to see what they say about it. I want a refund of the $39.99 the "gift card" costs.

Interesting experience ...

Brad K.: Let us know if you get a response... they respond to every complaint on here saying to email their customer service... However they don't respond to emails..

Michelle J.: Please... seriously please... train you staff to be helpful. I asked for help to get a 52 lb, 24x13x42 inch box to the till and the guy they sent was annoyed and thought it should fit in my cart (which was full of other items). He did not want to take it up to the till for me and certainly wasn't going to take it to my truck which was at the closest parking stall. Meanwhile, customer service tells me I can't take out the dolly it was on by myself.... finally just got pissed and Hemanned (or Shera more acurately) it out myself. God forbid people buy the big hulky heavy items you have and ask for help.

Aimee O.: Any chance the NOMA christmas lights you sell have been recalled?? I sent an email today to customer service with some pictures attached. This will be our THIRD year in a row having to replace our NEW LED outdoor Christmas lights, and I think it is ridiculous. I'm not looking to spend ANOTHER $100+ this year to decorate our house for the holidays! Can I bring the failed strings back to the store for credit towards ANOTHER set (which I sincerly hope continue to work longer than 1 year...as they say they have a 15yr life expectancy!!). For these lights being so expensive... I shouldn't have to buy a new set EVERY year!

Kris M.: Canadian Tire - I wasted all day being on hold, being bounced around from person to person, hung up on, forced to repeat my story again and again, and finally the store dealer called me back to tell me that the store warranty doesn't cover my gazebo being uprooted and the weld points being broken apart during a windy storm. Apparently poor weld points and a weak frame are "not defects". He did acknowledge that had I "purchased a more expensive gazebo, it may not have broken apart in the storm". Awesome. So after spending $500 for a gazebo that I've owned for less than 6 months and wasting a ton of time with your customer support, I have no recourse whatsoever as your warranty doesn't cover it, and I'm being told that I should've purchased a more expensive one? Thank you Canadian Tire, you've lost a lifelong customer. I can no longer recommend that anyone does business at your stores, but rather avoids them, due to your shameful customer "care".

Less than enthusiastic responses to the Red Thursday spamming - tends to bring out all,the recent grievances ...

Phil R.: Canadian Tire, our Canadian store, I asked the local store manager if they offer a Veteran Discount, there reply was "no not at all no discount for veterans" I asked why and they didn't know just "NO", not even sorry they don't offer one. My question to you is "Why doesn't out "Canadian Tire" a Canadian tradition not offer any Veterans Discounts?

Deanna G.: was excited for red Thursday.. but living in a small town to find out the store only brings in one of the product item's per product on sale.. thanks great saving for one person this morning.
