Liar.

The person you are mis-quoting wasn't saying that refunds are not required by the CPA.

They were just pointing out that you lied when you said the store policy said "no exchange".

You lie, and when people point it out, you lie about them.

Lies upon lies.

This faker advocate dude can't even see his own contradictory statements anymore....ouch.

Yet another lie. You never get tired of it, do you?

Well, thanks for proving my point yet again

Thanks for proving you are a liar, again. And again. And again. And again.

(I think that's it - just four - hard to keep track!)

And you wonder why people don't like you or your stores.

Friends dont let friends shop at ct - these stores are run by liars.

Guess what, Fellow Consumers?

The CT Liar posted lies here yesterday!

(He/she also posted a lot of whining about having their lies pointed out. LOL!)

Most have already been spotted and addressed, but there are a couple that slipped by:

CT Lie #9 - A customer is not entitled to a refund for a “Repair Only” or “Exchange Only” product.

Now, they are claiming that the Ministries have been telling this lie, too. That should probably count as a “two-fer”.

The post with the Walmart link contained the following lies:

CT Lie #12 – A manufacturer’s warranty is the same thing as a return policy.

CT Lie #3 – All other retailers have the “same damn” policy (i.e., no refund for defective items) as Canadian Tire.

Yes, when comparing themselves to other retailers, the CT Liars like to ignore the fact that Costco, Walmart and Home Depot allow you to open the package, try the product out, and return it if it is defective (or even if you just don’t like it). Yet they claim their policies “are better”!

There were also the usual minor lies about what people did or didn’t write:

- “not a single answer”, even though at least one question was answered. (“No”).
- “Not one of you could step up “ see above. Plus, choosing not to answer doesn’t prove one could not.
- “two ct owners here, very versed in the laws and rules.”, yet we saw horrible mis-interpretations of the laws on a daily basis.
- “your version of the CPA”, when it’s the version presented by experts in this field.

Just remember:

1) Never trust what the greedy CT Liar tells you - always check for yourself.
2) Friends don't let Friends shop at Crappy Tire!

.... you're going to lead these customers you're trying to "support" down a path that will piss them off more.

isnt that just SO NICE of the ct liars.

to be so deeply, deeply concerned for their customers - worried another consumer might 'piss them off'

yes they are hear for only that noble cause

for sure it has nothing to do with keeping profits up by avoiding returns that are legally required

and nothing to do with hiding their crappy policies that would send customer to the competition

thay are - after all - strong bastions of truth and honesty

yeah - right

stupic ct liars

Canadian Tire is making money and rightfully so Great value and allows even the most moronic consumer in without prejudice. Love em or hate em...they know what Canadians need

Okay i'm in a good mood today and thought i'd invest a minute to pile on the wins....adding to the Home Depot and BestBuy scenarios that you are CLEARLY defeated on

google this name
Patrick Shand

Man died from accidental suffocation during arrest: inquest - Canada - CBC News

1999 - security guards from Loblaws take this guy down for shoplifting, and he dies.

Since you've all been so strong with your opinions about the Hamilton CT incident, how do you address this?!! Same scenario, different retailer, one which you presumably don't hate so much.

Further proof, concrete undeniable proof that the things YOU think only happens at CT, happens everywhere. you lose

Oh....so I see....he/you/it were just pointing something out.....I get it, when you get called on the obvious lies you spin, it wasn't what you meant and everyone is a liar when you get caught. Too bad the world doesn't work that way...of course you already knew that and are trying hard to spin out of the death spiral you've found yourself in. That's what happens when you can't provide proof.

Just for the record, your posts have become nonsensical and increasingly irrelevant. Tsk, tsk, faker advocate.

You must not be paying attention to the posts. Looks like CTC just reported a profit in Q1, and an increase in sales, purchased Forzani's for cash, and a competitor (sears) reporting the continued erosion of market share and a loss. OUCH.....you is getting called each and every day for your irrelevant posts.

Attention: All customers that want to try something out to see if they like it...please shop anywhere but Canadian Tire....we are not the free rental place, this goober would like us to be.

You might be surprised how few retailers want to be the free rental store too....good luck with that.
"choosing not to answer" doesn't prove anything?.....we all know what people think of those that plead the 5th....they know they are wrong and don't want to incriminate themselves.

I've yet to see any "expert" state that CT's repair/exchange policy was illegal or against CPA rules...do you even have one example?....or will that question fall into the "I refuse to answer and you're a liar" category....LOL...Hilarious!

You get called each and every day for your irrelevance....don't you ever wonder why?....or again, is that not allowed to be answered on the basis of self incrimination.

The lies in this post (at least 3, I think) have already been pointed out.

But, just to be sure there weren’t special “Tread Mill” rules at WM, I took a couple of minutes at lunch to call 1-800-328-0402. I spoke with Monique (I think that’s how it’s spelled).

She told me that if a treadmill is defective, I would have 90 days to get a refund, if I wanted one.

What if the box has been opened? Monique said I could still get a refund.

What if I’d tried it out, and it didn’t work? Monique said I could get a refund even though I’d used it, within 90 days.

I begain to explain the “repair only” policy to poor Monique, but I’d put here through too much already, so I just thanked her for her time.

It’s always nice to have another opportunity to list the various ways that CT sucks so badly compared to Walmart for many “repair only” items (incuding some treadmills):

- CT doesn’t provide a refund or exchange if the package has been opened.
- CT doesn’t provide a refund or exchange if item has been used.
- CT doesn’t provide a refund or exchange if the item is defective.

Those are just a few of the many ways that CT's policies are worse than the others (Costco, Walmart, Home Depot and others).

The irony is that the CT Liar chose to evoke memories of the famous “EVOLVE TREADMILL” thread, which turned into a classic CT Lie-Fest last year.

"Friends don't let friends shop at Crappy Tire"

Let's not forget the original point.

A CT Liar wrote that another store offered "No returns", which was shown to be a lie.

Intead of admitting that they lied, the CT Liar has since then simply told more lies, generally by claiming that someone ELSE was lying, instead of them.

We see this yet again:

Oh....so I see....he/you/it were just pointing something out.....I get it, when you get called on the obvious lies you spin, it wasn't what you meant and everyone is a liar when you get caught.

Why do the CT Liars post so many lies?

Apparently it's a way of covering up their earlier lies.

Typical liar behaviour.

Too bad it's not working.

We see you for what you are.

Well, the CT Liar didn’t do too badly yesterday, after all. A slow day in Liar Land.

We are seeing more and more “lie cascades”, where the CT Liar gets caught in a lie, then falsely claims that the the person who caught them was the liar. Very lame.

when you get called on the obvious lies you spin, it wasn't what you meant and everyone is a liar when you get caught.

There was another one, too:

Attention: ...we are not the free rental place, this goober would like us to be.

Nobody said they wanted CT to be a free rental place, so that’s a lie.

Actually, the poster was just describing the superior policies of Walmart, in response to the lie that Walmart’ policy was a bad as CT’s.

In both cases, a consumer pointed out a CT lie, and then CT lies about what the consumer wrote.

Lies to cover other lies. Very sad, really.

Other than that, the CT Liar mostly just confined themself to insulting customers, and calling consumers names.

Lately, one of the insults has been to call the consumer’s comments “irrelevant”. Very interesting, because they were relevant enough for the CT Liar to mention.

Besides, it’s up to the consumers who read this site to decide for themselves what is relevant and what is not.

We also saw some more bragging about how rich they are getting, presumably by cheating customers out of refunds, exchanges and repairs.

It sounds like we, the Canadian Consumers, are not doing a good enough job of informing our fellow consumers of just how much CT sucks, the true nature of their “warranty” statements, and the laws that protect consumers.

Let’s get the word out!

Friends don’t let Friends Shop at Canadian Tire”!

We already know the faker advocate dude can't/won't answer questions that debunk his lies on CPA and Sale of Goods Act. Challenging his poorly construed opinions makes you a liar; however, good time to post some other retailer return policies to further show one sided arguments like faker advocates are so easy to disprove.

the Bay

Returns must be in original state....sounds like unused to me.
Restocking fees are mentioned.
Valid photo ID also mentioned..
Returns period is shorter than CT's unless purchased with HBC card.
And then of course "see in store for other exceptions and details"

I would say CT's return policy is superior than the Bay's.
We already know Home Hardware's return policy is inferior to CT's
Costco's is definitely superior to CT's.....but you have to pay a fee to shop there.

Easy to debunk faker advocates.....they can't be biased and then claim they are relevant.
Tsk, tsk....faker advocate.

Another lie-filled post by a CT Defender.

Wow, bet nobody saw that coming, LOL!

Will they ever grow tired of repeating the same, old disproven lies? It sure doesn't look that way.

We already know the faker advocate dude can't/won't answer questions that debunk his lies on CPA and Sale of Goods Act.

Actually, a lie-filled sentence!

No, they never seem to get tired of it:

- By the CT Rep's own definition, all "advocates" who ask for a donatoin are "fakers".
- No consumers have posted any lies about the CPA or SOGA.
- None of the questions posed by the CT Liars in any way "debunk" the CPA or SOGA.

This is just a variation on:

- CT Lie #8 – A customer is not entitled to an exchange on a “Repair Only” product.
- CT Lie #9 - A customer is not entitled to a refund for a “Repair Only” or “Exchange Only” product.

Reference to reliable sources on the CPA and SOGA can be found here:

I would say CT's return policy is superior than the Bay's.

Anyone with internet access can say whatever they want on this site - even if it's a lie (unfortunately).

Now, if you want to be believed, it helps if you don't have a long history of telling lies.

Yes, being a liar can increase profits, but being honest has some benefits, too.

We already know Home Hardware's return policy is inferior to CT's

Another lie. At least it's a new one.

We have seen no evidence of Home Hardware refusing refunds ("Exchange Only"), refusing exchanges ("Repair Only") or refusing even a repair ("No Warranty"), like you'll find at CT.

Do we "know" what the warranties are for Home Hardware products? No, we don't.

Do we know all of Home Hardware's return policies? No.

So, do we "know" that HH's "return policy is inferior to CT's"?

No, we do not - another CT Lie.

I supposed it could turn out that they are inferior - but we just don't know, yet.

(But my guess? They are superior, like Walmart, Home Depot and - of course - Costco.)

Poor faker advocate, still can't read....still can't/won't answer questions....still believes he's relevant.

Don't forget to donate, provide your credit card information, and see what other products and services all the 600 sucks.com sites provide. 600....that's a lot of sucks.com sites.

DavidLER can bring on whatever questions he wants in regards to CPA and SGA. The problem is, there are STILL two outstanding questions that we have posed to you, that remain unanswered in regards to, you guessed it, SGA and CPA. (Home Depot appliance and BestBuy DVD)

Not to mention missing reports of "Top Retailer" reports, responses to the Loblaws mishap that mirrors the CT Hamilton mishap, responses to Sears 50 million dollar loss in Q1, Forzani cash purchase, other noted retailers who ask for ID, have shorter return windows, require a receipt....it's all black and white.... week after week you keep dodging questions and information.

You want to be a consumer advocate, you want to get the word out, tell the fuckin truth! the WHOLE truth.
We don't give a rats ass that you don't like some of CT's policies. We care when customers are upset, if they are legitmately upset. When you invent your own rules, lie about experiences and ignore facts and figures that don't support your position against CT, call everyone else a liar because they disagree with you, you simply make yourself a closed minded loser, not a legitimate customer with a real concern. Go ahead, support your Mega Walmart Corporation or wherever you choose to buy your stuff. We will continue to serve customers who are not ME ME ME MY WAY MY WAY, the world owes me something pathetic losers.

happy Thursday. Don't forget, the new flyer comes out today, lots of great savings hahahaa

Hey, I just noticed that you can watch the number of Views each thread gets.

This time yesterday, this thread was around 1196. Now, it’s at 1329.

That mean over this thread has been viewed about 133 times in 24 hours - I’m sure the people who own this site are really happy to see all that traffic!

Thank You, CT Liars, for helping to finance this site's efforts at consumer education!

(But you know what, crazy raving CT Liar? You might want to cancel that credit card …just an idea!)

DavidLER can bring on whatever questions he wants in regards to CPA and SGA.

It's so nice of the CT Liars to decide for us, who can do what on this site. "LOL Hilarious!"

The problem is ...

Actually, there are no problems.

Nobody here needs to convince the CT Liars to start telling the truth.

All the consumers need to know is that reliable information on the Sale of Goods Act and the Consumer Protection Act can be found here:

Oh, and to contact our Consumers' Ministry regarding our specific cases.

... you want to get the word out, tell the fuckin truth! the WHOLE truth.

Language, please!

Nothing the consumers have posted about the laws has been shown to be incorrect or incomplete. See the earlier references.

Plus, if you care to read more on the CT Liars' views on "truth", see the list of 20 or so common "CT Lies" already documented here.

Plus, check out the numerous lies they tell about what others have written - lots of good examples, including the post I've been quoting.

We don't give a rats ass that you don't like some of CT's policies.

And we don't care what the CT Liars say their opinions are.

We know they lie for profit. Case closed.

Don't forget, fellow consumers:

"Friends Don't Let Friends Shop at Canadian Tire"

More deflect and ignore from faker advocate....hilarious!

Probably why I had the busiest day of the spring yesterday....you aren't accurate or relevant.

Sorry, you lose.

Don't forget to donate, lol.

Long weekend baby.... i can barely hear you over the cha-ching of my cash registers.
5 grand, 10 grand, 20, 30......just keeps on ringing and we're barely started.

I've got the biggest garden center around and it's packed, a ton of bicycles rolling out the door, and more camping gear going out then we can keep up with.

Best of all, our customers are happy. No complaints, no whiners, no bullshit attempts at returns.... smooth sailing at Canadian Tire today. I'm going to go out and enjoy the beautiful scenery in my greenhouse, maybe water some plants, enjoy the sun and fresh air and help some customers get their garden items.

how's your 9-5 going? i bet you're just itching for that buzzer so you can have a few days off from slaving to the man.

Happy long weekend
