Tried to shop at the South Windsor store today. Ignored by employees everywhere. Terrible customer service. One lady in seasonal asked my husband what he was looking for and when he told her she just walked away. What's up with this store?

Yeah it was really bad. I was there a few weeks ago to buy a table and someone who wasn't even an employee helped me. It's like the employees go out of their way NOT to help. I would like to support a Canadian company but they are not worthy of my hard earned dollars.

Yet another new way they suck:

We bought a BBQ 9 months ago from Canadian Tire in Poco and it already has quite a bit of rust and the coating is coming over the burners. We have used it maybe half a dozen times. I phoned today to check the warranty and was told that they couldn't help me because they don't carry the product - yet here it is on the website Master Chef E500 Gas BBQ | Canadian Tire Poor excuse for customer service to say the least. I would have hoped Canadian tire would be willing to stand by the products they carry, but apparently I was wrong.

Exactly 4 weeks ago, on Sunday, April 26th, I went to the Canadian Tire Store on Sainte-Anne-De-Bellevue Street in Montreal, which is situated pretty much in a bilingual area of Montreal. As there were no credit card or loyalty points application forms in English, I wrote to Canadian Tire's head office to complain. Several weeks later, I received the following reply. " Dear Mr. Staviss, We write further to your email dated April 26th, 2015. Thank you for sharing your concern with respect to the lack of English credit and/or loyalty card applications in our Canadian Tire Stores in the province of Quebec. Please be assured that all customer inquiries are reviewed carefully and assessed on an individual basis. Upon receipt of your concerns, we immediately commenced an investigation and can confirm the following support is in place for both English and French applications; • Through our Instant Credit Card application electronic tablets in-store you can change the default language from French to English. If you would like assistance in doing this, you can ask someone at the Customer Service Desk. • Paper loyalty card applications are available in English and French in the bilingual markets in Quebec. We are working with our stores to ensure they have English applications in stock. It’s possible they had run out of applications in your store... ...Thank you again for bringing your concerns to our attention and allowing us the opportunity to investigate and respond. Regards. Corporate Customer Relations Canadian Tire Corporation Limited 1-800-387-8803" Well today I went back to that store to buy a vacuum cleaner and when at the cash asked for a credit card application form. Guess what?? You got it, it was only available in French. So I complained to the manager and he is going to be looking into it (think I have heard that excuse more than a few times), So bottom line is, they lost a sale for $150.00. Question is why do you continue to ignore and discriminate against English speaking people living in Anglophone areas of Montreal, Laval and the South Shore. There is really no excuse for this. Do you not want our business? Shame on you guys. Time to show respect. Why did you respond to my previous concerns with false information??

The customer service at your south end London Ont store is abysmal at best. Your customer service workers are fools and think they run the place. A manager straightened out the issue. Wake up

Yesterday, my two sons and I were denied entry to your Nanaimo location because I was wearing a very small backpack containing diapers, baby wipes and water. After petitioning the security guard, I was allowed to use the washroom to change my toddler's diaper. There was no change table in the men's washroom. Your company no longer deserves my business.

Do NOT work for the Maple Ridge location. My daughter was hired there with the manager having the full knowledge that she would be returning to school. She submitted her availability, we thought everything was great. This company was really flexible with students. We were wrong. Not only do they schedule her above her available hours without her consent, but when she complained her supervisor said " what's the worst that can happen? You fail... That is exactly the worst that can happen. Why does this company feel they have the right to waste students and their parents time & money? If you hire someone under any special circumstances then stick with the agreement or don't hire them!

Completely and utterly disgusted with the Port Coquitlam location. Not paying employees , and hanging up on customers when they phone directly. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY SHOPPING HERE!!!!!

I regret purchasing anything from your store at Dixie and Dundas last Friday, even with the intervention of your customer service department the situation is still not resolved!!!! The customer service in that store leaves much to be desired as does the work ethic or lack there of, of your disappearing managers!!!

Hi! I had light shades for my ceiling on back ordering since approximately early January 2015. We have yet to receive them. When my husband inquires at the store all they say is that they cannot see anything of them arriving yet. What other method can I use to find out if we are going to receive them?

Jeff O.:

Your mobile site is useless.
No products at all.
Example: go to outdoors, select garden care, select hoses/attachments/sprinklers etc.
Returns no results.
Useless to have a mobile site if you don't maintain or populate it.
and your regular site is impossible to use on a smartphone.
Just a recommendation. You lost a massive sale from me since I couldn't compare before buying.

Very unimpressed by the events that took place during and after my visit to the Dixie and Dundas Canadian Tire over the long weekend. First off i arrived at the CT at approximately 5:45 on Friday evening and I left the store after 7pm. I went to purchase a patio set and for whatever reason they only had 1 person working in the seasonal department. There was one lady named Elma who was hustling to serve myself and about 6 other customers that were waiting to be served. You should have seen it, we were all sitting down at the different patio sets like we were attending a bbq or something. I spoke to a manager named Ross who just brushed me off. And my wait continued. I returned the next day after I had rented a vehicle to pick up my goods. On Sunday we put the patio set together and lo and behold… there were scratches on the patio table. This situation has left me so frustrated.

Mastercraft Angle Grinder 054-7119-0
I bought this grinder on sale and didn't keep the receipt less than a year later it had become dangerous when the FOUR screws holding the head ALL Backed Out and the wire wheel wobble almost spun the unit out of my hands. The "best" Canadian Tire Customer service would do was recommend I drive about Ten Miles to my local store and hope the Manager would help honor the THREE YEAR WARRANTY...please see photos on my TWITTER page at how little use this unit had before it failed. https://twitter.com/TheUnrealDougP
Another time had Mastercraft Titanium drill bit explode into three pieces and I never reported this to Canadian Gov safety groups.

I am so annoyed right now, just went to Canadian Tire to buy a fan, brought it home, it was broken. Drove the 20 minutes back to Canadian Tire, exchanged the fan, opened the box there to make sure it wasn't broken, brought it home, plugged it in, doesn't work! What???? Where is quality control at this store? Now I have to drive the 17 Km back again. Don't think I'm going to buy a fan there, or much else for a while

Dave B.:

So I post something to your wall, and because it wasn't a positive report about customer service you delete it. Wow. This will be good when word gets out. Thanks

Ancaster Canadian tire is the worst Canadian Tire ever - Worst Customer Service!! I purchased a $300 bbq grill on Monday, May 11th, 2015 and used this Canadian tire assembling services for $35. I received a call on Wednesday, May 13th stating that the bbq was ready to be picked up. I went to pick it up on Thursday, May 14th... only to find out that parts were hanging loose and missing items on it. I asked them to fix the issues before taking it home. After having waited for an hour, they advised they were unable to fix everything that day, so they offered me a refund for the assembly.
The following day I received a call that everything was fixed and would deliver at my place by 4:30pm. I told them that I work and would get home at 6pm. I asked them if they fixed the part where the bbq is chipping, they said no but will provide me a gift card. I told them I'm not interested in a gift card, I would like a bbq free of defects, that is when I was told that they would not replace the defective part... What kind of service is this where they sell customers defective parts and offer gift certificates to compensate that?
I told them that I did not want the bbq anymore and would like my refund and my gas money for all the trips I've made to the store... they response, we will provide you with a gift certificate. Is a gift certificate an answer to all their lack of business acumen? I'm very disappointed with this store and Canadian tire in general!!! I will purchase my bbq elsewhere. I was also told by one of the employees that that Thursday, someone had to go to a customer's house to fix the bad assembling job that the individual had done!! Seems like this is usual business for this store.

From A Highly Upset Customer
