Get this! Now the Crappy Person is claiming they are NOT defending themeselves and their beloved store!

(Naturally, this claim is preceeded, and followed, by statements defending their mis-deededs while attacking consumers.)

I don't and have never visited a hate canadian tire site expecting handshakes and pats on the back.

Wow! There are OTHER sites dedicated to revealing the wrong-doings of Crappy Tire! Maybe our 'customer-centric' friend will post some links to them all!

It is my purpose to understand legitimate customer complaints and see how they can be prevented....

Please, spare us.

The Crappy People have said over and over how they care about only one thing: Profit.

And they are proud of it.

It's a little late now to start trying to spread some sunshine and love to cover over their greed.

LEGITIMATE being a key word,

It's always entertaining when the Crappy People want to decide for us what's legitimate and what isn't.

That guy who got ripped off when they said a repairable tire couldn't be fixed? No way will they agree that was legitimate.

That guy they wouldn't accommodate for an urgent snow-tire change? Nope, that wasn't a legitimate complaint either (even though the Crappy Person admitted that they do that all the time).

and also to educate consumers and haters alike that there is more then one side to each story being represented here, again despite the fact this is a hate site!

Ha-ha! Maybe they could start by educating the public on their terrible return policies, instead of hiding them and lying about them.

Maybe they could stop cheating customers in their auto service centers. Lot of stories on this site and others.

Here's the point about being fair. Represent YOURSELF, and this site in a truthful fashion. That's fair.

I guess we're all just supposed to believe everything the Crappy People say, about flat tires, about snow tires, and now about this site, too.

Dude what article did you read? There is nothing that refers to the ability of any retailer to survive (canadian tire or otherwise) it simply says that consumers have access to more information through digital media options, and that more companies are either coming to Canada or expanding within.

Your analysis is ummmm not even close. it's just your take on a company you love to hate, canadian tire.

Okay here's a test. Let's discuss Canadian Tire's results for the last quarter, or quarter before that, year before.... reality is we are doing some pretty great things in the market, and the results are showing in Canadian Tire, Marks, Forzani and Petroleum. REALITY check it out


As far as the couple of gas station owners caught price fixing, hope they get what they deserve. As you always like to say, against the law is illegal...and nobody under our banners would support what they were caught doing. For the dealer above who's not doing so well, that's his fault, and yes I know who he is. If you'd read back to many posts i've made, you'll note (though not likely acknowledge) that we are well aware that not EVERY dealer has a massive net worth, there are a few that are negative equity. That's no big secret, it is what it is. No system is perfect, ours included but it's DAMN good!!!

I've been hearing reports lately of extremely generous return policies.

I was at a seminar on e-commerce last month, and heard about retailers who are accepting returns of items that weren't even purchased at their store (provided it's an item they carry).

The thinking is, it's more important to go the extra mile to keep your customers happy, than it is to try attracting new ones.

That's the kind of competition we might start seeing more of, and not the draconian screw-the-customer philosophy of Crappy Tire - which is all we seem to hear out of them on this site.

Yes, the future looks bright for the consumer.

It's important to always do a little research, before believing anything the Crappy People post here.

Take for instance the recent post that said, "Rona's profit drops". Makes it sound like they are doing even worse than CT Retail, who's same-store sales increased a paltry 0.4% over Q2 2011, right?

But if you dig into the story, you find out that the profits were affected by "unusual items" this quarter, related to their re-alignment with their markets: Rona profit dragged down by unusual items

Hardly what CT would lead you to believe. In fact, without these 'unusual items', their profits were UP abougt 18%! This is born out by their revenues, which are also up by 3.4% from a year ago.

This trickery regarding Rona comes on the heels of The Moaner's misrepresentation from last quarter about stores closing - back then, The Moaner 'forgot to mention' that far more (smaller) Rona stores would be opening to replace them.

Yup, you just can't trust these owners!

And their slogan is "Bring it On", but it should be "Don't Bring It Back", to accurately reflect their so-called 'return' policy, LOL!

Aside from a neutral or slightly down quarter in automotive, it was a great quarter. Yes i'm going to come tell you how good we are doing, it's printed in black and white, read em and weep.
A small growth in the last 3 months for CTR shows on the books, and a profit. Not a loss, not shrinking sales. NOw does that sound like an underperforming company to you? I know what you THINK. Too bad it's not based on anything except your opinion.


NOw as far as Forzani goes, let's address that shall we? In another post one of you has mentioned that they are now floating the company LOL which first is a joke. Secondly this is the same company that you called insolvent. We paid a billion too much for them. We made a mistake because we had to take a $25 million hit to close the underperformers. Those were a few of your analysis comments on our Forzani purchase. Not looking so smart now are you?
